+1 was on the other side of this argument with the CT trooper, but she had it coming. Cant just make up your own rules. Maybe a little over board but technically evaded arrest and assaulted an officer. Gun drawn was a bit much but she is a "country girl" no reason to believe she couldn't have been as armed as anyone else.

so regardless if someone signed it or not it's still registered as a ticket with the courts
Exactly. And if she doesn’t pay for it, most cities/counties will issue a warrant for arrest. There is absolutely no reason to get into a power struggle there.
Job gets so much easier when you just avoid unnecessary escalations. Being in the right isn’t enough. I m not getting into a fight with someone because they didn’t sign a seatbelt ticket

I have never been required to sign a ticket. The officer gives it to me and I take it home and go pay the damn fine lol! She didn't want to take the ticket though so I am not sure what situation that places the officer in. She really should have just thanked the officer and taken the ticket. The whole incident was just ridiculous over $80 - on both sides. Not going to lie if that was my mom I would be pissed if she was tossed to the ground like that and no telling what I would do in retaliation for the next 50 years lol! What if this woman had a heart attack during the scuffle and tasing?!

Obviously we aren’t seeing the whole video, but it sure seemed the PO could have handled it much better.
Once she drove off though.... becomes a whole new game.

Well maybe not him personally has pulled her over numerous times but yea ur right she has probably been pulled over for the exact same thing a dozen times.

IDN to me this is just one of those "Pick ur battles" moments and she lost lol.... Bet she doesn't do that again tho lol.

Meh, old bitch deserves it. Especially when it’s been a on going problem with her vehicle. Guaranteed he’s pulled her numerous times for the same thing.

Stupid? yes. Tase an AARP member for it? No. Totally ridiculous on both parties.

At first I was like "Yeah, didn't need to taze her", then I went back and watched it again. She would not comply the first time and get out of the car, then drove off (that is a big no no, and you are not going to escape), then fought with him at the second stop while in the car, and then kicked him.

I get fighting the man when you are right, but she was way on the other side of being right.

Maybe call for back up, yeah. Taze her stupid rollie pollie dumb ass?, yeah I am okay with that also.

Pretty much. Some people don't know how to pick their battles.
Yep! That and too many refuse to acknowledge or accept accountability for their actions, or inactions. "I don't think that I deserve to pay $80 (for the ticket) for something that is fixable and I can fix it". o_O She's driving around 6 months knowing that she has defective equipment, knowing that she can easily fix the issue, but refuses to be held accountable when she ultimately gets pulled over and cited. That cop also gave her multiple opportunities to comply with a lawful order. Even when she eventually pulled over, he gave her opportunities before being forced to taze her. Karen, Karen, Karen!

Another question. Does getting $80 ticket = slam on the ground and tazed? Does the punishment fit the crime?

he slammed her on the ground because she refused to get out of the truck and just drove away. the video is edited but there was a small pursuit. I would have done the same thing at that point. If you're under arrest you can't just leave lol

Im sure all of us would of done the same. But where was backup? Was department protocols followed? Once again does the punishment fit the crime? All these will be factors for court and possible law suits. Personally the cop could not wait to pull his gun, could not wait to slam her, couldnt even put her in cuffs, had to taze her to feel like a man again.

Over all makes for great entertainment at tax payers expense.
