I like TMO as well. There is a new guy that bought it last year. It seems like he is in it for the profit, as I believe he just bought his first Mustang when he bought the site. Since he took over it does seem like some of the core track guys post WAY less/not at all, but it just might be me.

Wow Modded Mustangs. I used to post alot on their back in the day. Just looked, most threads are from months ago.

I’m only on a few.

Fordgt500 is alright i guess. I log in maybe once a month.

Haven’t been on modularfords in years.

Svtp is really the only place i hangout at.

IMO, forums will make a comeback. I’m not on FB, but i hear search tools suck and frankly the tech isn’t great. I’m sure there are good people but that’s just what i have heard. Not to mention many are leaving FB for different reasons.

Truth told, FB is only good for opinions from flat-billed kids checking their phones from behind the Burger King fryer.

For us 3V guys, you can't depend on it for good tech . . . the exception being the Department of Boost group.

S197forum used the be the place for good tech. Now, you post and have to wait a couple days for the core group to see it. The good news? The guys left know the platform backwards and forwards.

I can't get good 3v/S197 here either, to be honest, as those platforms just aren't pushed here. I come for the fun, LOL.

The Marauder web site vanished along with the seldom visited Mach 1 Registry. Just a spec of its former self.

You mean MercuryMarauder.net? there are a few reasons it's not around a lot of drama and then defending a certain snake oil salesman there was about the final nail in the coffin for me so as soon as my 03 was sold I really have never went back.

Or are you thinking Motorcity Marauders? as they took it down and was thinking of relocating and upgrading it but they never did.

Didn't even know they were gone. Used to have good SCT PRP info.

The poor 3V had bad timing with the crash and Ford never made a Cobra version. I wonder if they ever had any plans for one?

I think you'd have to include the rise of youtube in the downfall of a lot of forums. People with the best technical advice, most interesting builds or other good content can make money or at least try on Youtube instead of posting it for free. I don't know if the twitter or instantgram siphoned anything off, I still don't get what they are for.

This is the only forum I stayed connected to over the years. Coral is good for parts.

It takes so much time and effort to make any real cash on YT that most quickly give up. The one's who end up truly successful have to find a fairly broad audience. To get that you really need either really quality content or be very entertaining. Guys like VGG are both.

Who here was part of, or remembers, the turbo mustangs forum? That was some good stuff....and then it became the turbo forums and I lost interest--but man, lot's of good times there.

So, we all know Facebook put the hurt on online forums, it is interesting how some of the Mustang forums have evolved.

SVTP -- Managed to keep a core with interesting posting in many area's of life and automotive that keep people coming back.

6G -- Mustang spamming dream for parts companies.

ModdedMustangs -- The place Coyote owners abandoned for 6G & FB. Literal ghost town, why, MM was just bursting with Coyote stuff.

Corral -- Kept a pretty good parts and tech questions going, but the Lounge died, why? They have the people posting, strange.

Evolution -- Ghost town.

S197Forum -- Hanging on, shadow of self.

Speculate.

MM used to have a shit ton of New Edge and even 4V info. Lots of guys building, researching and sharing about that. Before that they even had a sizeable 5.0 Windsor and 3.8 communities. They even had a few 2.3 guys.

Corral has turned into a disaster. It's still active, but I've never gone anywhere and gotten such bad and outright wrong information- actively hostile too. It's bordering on FB or other social media for bad info and hostility.

Funny seeing that AG has run even YellowBullet into the ground.

Wow Modded Mustangs. I used to post alot on their back in the day. Just looked, most threads are from months ago.

It's crazy seeing how much it changed almost overnight. It went from frequent posting and information from pretty knowledgeable members to a handful of people with <5 posts asking simple questions and spam bots reigning unchecked.

They must be making good money just on the little traffic they get from old posts because activity on all these forums they bought/changed plummeted as soon as they touched it.

Truth told, FB is only good for opinions from flat-billed kids checking their phones from behind the Burger King fryer.

Same with IG. Just a platform for people to flex their stimulus builds. I can only see so many builds of people showing off their bright and shiny new parts from [Insert vendor here].

Who needs that when you can put together a 10 minute video about your life riddled with ads? Then spam it to every other social media in hopes of gaining some semblance of traction and a couple pennies from youtube. I don't think any of them have any reasonable technical knowledge, nor are the technical types profitable. Only the more entertainment oriented stuff is popular/profitable it seems. I can't stand it, personally. They're all the same. It's like sifting through a landfill for a single fleck of gold.

They all follow the same format. "Hey it's your boy XxCoyotePuneSlayerxX420! Remember to SMASH that like button and hit the bell or something, subscribe so you can see the latest. SOOOOOOOOO...meandmygirlfriendwe…[5 minutes of completely useless drivel that's irrelevant]...2 ads...OBNOXIOUS DUBSTEP INTRO for 2 minutes. Ok so...we're about to get down to this. We just got this ALL NEW THROTTLE BODY SPACER from AMERICAN MUSCLE, they're like...the best vendor ever...if you use promo code...[more paid placement] So let's put it on now, ok?...2 ads... Now we're at Harbor Freight...seriously the best place to go for tools...and we got a new ratchet...ok we're going back to HF because we broke the ratchet...fast forward to actually installing it, using gaskets from Rock Auto! Another paid placement...2 ads...and there we're done! Let's rev the piss out of the car on a COLD START BROOOO! It sounds so good! I can feel that on my trip to McDonalds it DEFINITELY picked up 20hp with this spacer...
...teaser for the next episode, HF jackstands collapse and CRUSH MY BEST FRIEND? REACTION FACE EMOJI PASTA."

ModFords is the holy grail of 4v build info. Ed, imo, is the glue that holds that forum together. Guy seems like an endless source of knowledge on so many different topics. He helped me decide on a few different things early on in my build.

I use to be on my local site stlmustangs it seemed like everyday when I first got my car and that isn't even hosted anymore. Despite that its been on my favorites tab for the better part of 10 years.

I've tried staying up to date on bronco6g but with ford constantly changing stuff its a shitshow of misinformation and people talking out of their ass.

I miss SSOTN (SuperStallions of the Net). It was a local forum that held a yearly track rental at Cecil County Dragway. It had an awesome group of guys but it faded away with Facebook.

I'm just glad SVTP has powered along like it has. I'm going to be a premium member shorty since I literally browse the site everyday.

Haha. Spot on. The annoying chipmunk voice music while showing multiple angles of useless BS just to fill time so there can be 100 commercial breaks drives me crazy. Don't forget you have to make the thumbnail have a big red arrow pointing to something so you can trick idiots into watching. I have seriously unsubscribed from people's channels over the big red arrows.
