Two giant monsters beating the hell out of each other? I'm in.
Can't wait. Brings me back to when I was a kid.
Although I was always Godzilla more than Kong, and this trailer seems to only show Kong getting the upper hand. Godzilla the bad buy, although they hint that something is "provoking" him.
I suspect it will be the typical "fight it out and then ally against a common foe" storyline.
Mechagodzilla?
100%. I have been a Godzilla fan since I was a kid. The original basically posed as Godzilla while creating mayhem. This one contains a competitor company to Monarch (Apex) looking to get rid the remaining Kaiju (Kong and Gojira)Mechagodzilla?
The daughter (Madison) is in this one too.Too bad Serizawa died in the 2nd one. Liked his character.
Is there anyone from the 2nd movie in this one? Couldn't tell. Not that it really matters.
Mechagodzilla?
First 4 seconds of the trailer show it destroying a city.
Definitely a possibility. At the end of King of the Monsters, the one dude says “Thank god he’s on our side.” The Dr. replies “for now.”I'm guessing it's not Mechagodzilla that's fighting Kong in those clips - I don't think a real looking robotic version flies in 2021. Especially since you see a more robotic version in those first four seconds.
I think we learn the real Godzilla is on a warpath because of some instinct Godzilla has that humans created Mecha -- remember that Godzilla is all about being king and keeping the balance. I think you are seeing the real Godzilla hurting people.
It's the Godzilla vs humans conflict that brings Kong into the equation and brings us to those flighting clips in the trailer.
Eventually, both their sights turn to Mecha. Just my theory; I might be wrong.
