  • Best-performing: High-output 3.5-liter EcoBoost® engine delivers better low-end torque, enables greater maximum towing and increased maximum payload capability, brings a projected EPA-estimated range of over 500 milesƗ, and class-exclusive* active valve dual exhaust for throatier engine sound; Raptor R is coming next year

Epic disappointment. Glad I didn't wait...

Ford should bite the bullet and pay what is needed to steal one of the Dodge marketing guys. LOL
They need the whole team really. Its as if nobody in Fords marketing department is an enthusiast. They all show up to work driving Taurus' or something lame.

I picture the Dodge team to show up every day in a fleet of Hellcat powered things, all doing burnouts as they pull into the parking lot with huge shit eating grins on their faces.

Talk about underwhelming reveal. They could learn from RAM for their marketing and presentation.

that’s aside I was worried about how the front end would look but I actually like that it looks a bit like the Gen 1 raptor. I’d like to see more of the interior and I’ll be interested to see the raptor R.

for the ones that said the raptor R wasn’t a forced hand due to the TRX, do you think otherwise now since it’s set to be shown in the next year but still with no true time line? I also wonder if Ram will do anything to prepare for the drop of a raptor R

No, Ford rumored to have an R before the TRX was released.

No, RAM won't do anything.

Manufacturers don't play each other as much as you'd think they do.

Ford is having a hard enough time producing MY21 F-150s as it is, this will be a shortened production (volume-wise) year, so it would make sense to not force more specialty units down the throats of the line workers in Dearborn.

V6 of course but that was to be expected.

Im interested in the exhaust system. Seems like they might have figured out how to make the v6 not sound so shitty.

I think the fact that they need another year for the R says everything. It's clear they weren't expecting what Ram did when they were drawing up the gen 3 initially.
