The stock one wasn't full open until 215 or 220 deg F, or at least that's what I would see for engine coolant out.

I run a 180 relocated to the engine outlet now and it works well.

Ya I recall reading that on JR Goffins site.

I just can’t recall if it was a 180 or 190 something stock.

I'm 98.9% sure it's 195 stock.

FWIW, I've had a 170 in my car since I bought it. Well, that's what the PO said he installed and since I've seen mid 170's while cruising on the freeway I believe him. But I haven't had any issues with it. Maybe the mpg took a hit, but not enough that I considered it detrimental.

That looks amazing, did you follow a guide or anything? Want to do this eventually

No just bought a fuse box relocation bracket from Harpellautofab. I unplugged the harness and tried a couple different ways of running the harness till I got it all to fit. It’s pretty easy.

My F-1A is due back from the shop in a couple days so I pushed the cobra around to the back shop and put it on the new lift for the first time. Over the next week it will get lots of love: blower reinstalled with smaller pulley, poly isos for the rear to give me a little bit more fender clearance, oil change, plus whatever else is waiting in the parts cabinet.

Did you have to extend anything or was there enough slack in the harness?

I only extended the two grounds so I could hide them. I also removed the runner that’s by the radiator and placed the wires in some loom and layed the harness across the radiator supports.

Nice upgrade to the 3.0 Whipple. One of the cleaner engine bays I've seen. How many miles on your Cobra?

Wonder if the owner is a member on here? He posted this picture on Facebook. Said he did the hood mod on his termi. He's catching a lot of heat for it. Said the blower wouldn't fit.

Crazy if you ask me!

Jesus, owns an L too.

From the looks of it, the hood still doesn't fit right. Shame because those are such beautiful hoods

Oof! THE hood mod? Or in the hood mod! Damn!

If IIRC there is k-member mod to lower the motor, to fit the larger blower. I just received the June 2002 issue of Car&Driver. Cobra cover, they review the car, they listed a con "the blower whine" "sounds like an angry blender" me thinks they goofed up a little.

Thanks! I ordered some coil covers but they have not arrived yet. Right now it's sitting at 48k miles. My dad bought the car new and only put 8k miles on it. It's always been garage kept and I've taken really good care of it since I bought it from him.
