What we need is to get data points by smogging popular cars stock and modified with FFE and E85. Take that data set, which I have seen show no more pollutants than stock, to a lawyer. Get the lawyer to do the meat of the paperwork but leave out the plaintiffs information. Disseminate the paperwork to hobbyists, shops, manufacturers and then everyone file injunctions in Federal Court. Thousands of injunctions against the EPA. Play their court game.

I wish it were as straight forward as that. Unfortunately it's not. Never mind the extremely complex process of certifying a car for the road (which is far more complicated than simply placing a sniffer in a tailpipe), but this whole "woke" culture has turned the tide and driven a sea change. The narrative now reads modifying your car = killing the planet. The relatively small industry of tuners in this country do not stand a chance. To top it off, you will not get a single OEM car manufacturer to side with the tuning industry, for fear of being publicly shamed. They may not officially come out against this, but they will surely not endorse it.

The Clean Air Act is far reaching, has been in affect for decades, and has sadly passed the test of time. It will take a very well thought out strategy and be extremely well financed to not get laughed out of the courts.

Alex, just killing it lately

I’m not a fan of this guy at all to be honest. He basically talks out the side of his mouth. Since this became mainstream I’ve watched him a few times.

In one video he says if this fails and they come for him he’s ****ing everyone and ratting stating if he can’t eat than no one will. Then in his last video he hints about someone working with the EPA that got caught and basically calls them a scumbag, how much damage they’re doing blah blah.

I’m all for him putting the message out but he is all over the place.

Its a rapidly changing situation for those fighting it, alot going on behind the scenes. I think he also realized how professional he needs to keep this, especially with his videos taking off and becoming the "face" of the movement now. But overall I agree with you, he's not exactly the ideal mainstream voice for this. I am glad he is doing it though, since nobody else really is.

Who do you think is requesting that info?

Could be a couple different angles. Pretty sure the EPA is trying to force all players in the auto aftermarket industry to conform or cease operations. One thing is certain, stuff is going to cost a LOT more for increasing HP.

The RPM act is just a waste of time, the wokeness id too prevalent in gov. they need to go to the state level using the 10th amendment and try and nullify the regs. States did it with weed...

The problem with the RPM act is that there aren't enough pure drag cars to support the industry.

There are tons in the road course community and is also growing like a weed in north america, likely still not enough. The reality is we are screwed and nobody will do a damn thing about it.

EPA will argue you don't need to lose the cat and EGR to lap your Miata.

The crazy part is my car was just finished last week and now I’m slowly losing interest in it due to all of this shit. I have not even heard it run yet. It is on its way home right now and I’m almost questioning why I spent what I did on it.

I don't think you understand how it works. Should the Feds decide to start arresting pot shop owners or seizing their assists do you think the CO State Police are going to stop them?

Exactly my concern with the huge push for RPM act. It is barely a half-measure. We need much more to be done to preserve the industry!

I agree, we need more than just the RPM Act.

There are companies that spend money to ensure that their aftermarket products conform to EPA standards and doesn't reduce the effectiveness of the OEM emissions equipment. Companies like Renntech ensure their mods are EPA certified and legal in 50 states.
