Everything is wild. I’m kicking myself for not buying a GenV viper sooner. I watch that market heavily as I had planned to buy next year. With in the groups they think values will stay high, I have a feeling in the next year or two we’ll see a dip pending on trim model and miles.

I bought this year and paid about 10k more than last year...Funny thing is someone recently offered my 10k more than I paid. Crazy market right now.

Begs the question: has the value of the asset increased or has the value of the currency decreased?

I think more people that have not had their income interrupted by covid also have more time on their hands now with working from home. It’s causing a buying frenzy, we see rentals up also as vacation approaches change. The real question is how long will it last before a market correction?

not at my post...
Timing is definitely a factor... I was shopping for a new daily and looking at used CTS-V and ATS-Vs a couple of months ago, they were ridiculous compared to where they previously were price wise. I ended up buying a Q50 RedSport..

I have been looking at ATS-V's for a daily since November. I should have jumped on one as they've easily gone up $5-7k since then. Low option (no carbon, recaro's, etc.) cars are equally priced as hi option one's - weird.

Everyone staying at home during COVID (that worked) having more disposable income (not taking vacations, no child care, etc.) definitely drove up pricing on higher end used/new car sales.

I have been waiting to buy gently used as well, My sister works for a large auto group. They are saying the price increase applies to the used market due COVID (build delay in new cars, and Chip shortage for ECUs). What we need to realize is this is just like ADMs. If we keep buying the price will stay artificially high.

I'd venture that many gear-heads realize we are at, or very near peak ICE and jumping at what could be last of breed.

Agreed. I'm certainly under the impression that my 7.3L will likely be the last big block gas engine Ford makes.
