If I shoot you my VIN, can you give me a ballpark of what I can push his insurance to replace it for...or at least let me keep it and make up the difference in cash?

I had a bunch of aftermarket suspension/turbo/built trans and other parts in it. If I can keep it and get another similar I will.

Yes, PM your VIN and miles.

He did, when they got him out he was bleeding pretty profusely from the head and neck area. Heard the emt talking about injuries to his left side extremities as well. If I hadn’t turned to the right I would have centered his door, hell it still split the car at c pillar and that was off angle.

Well i tell you that he will never run another stop in his life.

Contact Billy Walkowiak (Collision Safety Consultants) on facebook or IG. He does total loss negotiations remotely to get you maximum value on your car. He has a flat fee but if you see his posts he gets tons of money for people by negotiating with your insurance Co.

I am glad to hear you’re okay! Good luck with replacing that 3rd Gen. I always liked that color.

Electric Blue, I loved that color as well. Literally just brought the bed stand home last week and ordered paint. I was having it painted factory color again to fix the obvious poor factory job and getting rid of those hideous fender flares and shaving it until this happened.

No airbags working? Hello lawyer

Honestly, I think everything worked as intended. It was an off angle impact at a lower speed (35mphish). The seatbelt did it’s job. The impact sensor works in conjunction with an accelerometer/decel sensor and an algorithm from my understanding and it didn’t deploy I guess because I didn’t really need it to.

Looking back at some of the other pics, I’m pretty sure had I been going faster either he or most likely I would have flipped. I know the truck tried to climb over his passenger section before momentum spun him and I. The C pillar was essentially gone from what I could tell. It felt like I had gone over a massive speed bump at stupid speed.

Glad to hear you escaped unscathed.
After seeing all the vids on YT of bad drivers/accidents, I installed front/rear dashcams in my wife's and my vehicles. They won't avoid the crash however, may help in legal or insurance claims.

Good advice, I had purchased one but hadn’t installed it. I was lucky in that I was traveling down the road and he came from a side road. There was no disputing he was at fault since it was his duty to yield period.

Cool, I’ll keep it in mind once I find out what their insurance ends up doing. Everything but the fender would probably fit, I know the headlights changed so unsure about it.

Damn, collision was so bad it disconnected your trailer and the trailer rolled out of the picture!!

Glad you're okay. Awful time to buy a truck.

You need to get checked out. There's no way you weren't left at least sore from an impact like that.

Glad you're ok. If you would've left the house 1 or 2 seconds sooner it would've been you that was T-boned.

My brother recently had his 2002 Tahoe totaled by a "Dreamer". He bought it new and was very attached to it. The insurance company wanted to give him $1500 but he stood firm and argued back and forth and got $5000 and got to keep the truck. So stand your ground with those suckers because they'll try and screw you.
Good luck finding a replacement.

I’m glad there was nobody (like a kid) behind the driver.

Crazy you were only doing 35 and ate the car for lunch.
