Just won this on Ebay a week ago. The SEMA Mercury Marauder with a one-off SVT designed body kit and Trilogy's supercharger. This Marauder dyno'd at 550WHP; 530RTQ

Wow, now THAT'S a nice find. That Marauder looks to be in awesome condition. Talk about a sleeper! Supercharged motor making 550WHP. It's a real looker (and goer). Enjoy.

Nice ride. Sounds like my neighbor. He has a 2019 Ruby Red GT350 and only has ~700 miles on it. I keep telling him to drive the damn thing.

Thanks...this is a 2018 but the guy who sold it to me just bought it brand new in November 2020. Due to Covid he had to wait from November to early March to register it at the DMV (our DMV requires appointments for new registrations and the first available appointment after he bought the car was March). FWIW, my appointment to register it is in June but I'll keep checking the DMV site to see if something pops up sooner. He sold it to me because he found a 2020 GT350R Heritage in LA. He put 800 miles on mine in 5 months but has already put 300 on his R in 3 weeks. I plan to drive it so it won't stay new forever. LOL

I had a feeling it might be a 327. Original engine. That's awesome!

Thank you. It’s really good car. Some info on it:
Main reason I got it is; it’s was a relatively unmolested car with the original power train. Factory 4 speed, and 12 bolt rear, real SS. Given it was red when we got it, but my father wanted to go black on black. After the red paint was gone , that blue was under it and I found out the original color was mist blue. So we went back to the original color. Only mods are dual reservoir master cylinder (safety upgrade), electronic ignition (hidden in distributor, actually still had points in it), exhaust increased to 2.5in but the front pipes are bent to factory specs going to flowmasters, and the special edition Cragars. It still has the glass windshield wiper bottle along with the glass fuel filter container. The rear end still has the red flap on the fill cap that says use lubricant only. The shields for the spark plug wires are still on the engine right under manifolds. All of the chrome trim original except the badges (one was damaged). And the owners manual and cover were still in the car. Most of the body is original but it did have some of the usual rot on these cars and all of it was either replaced or repaired. Someone loved this car and I saw that.

Pick your poison.

I remember when Jerry Barnes sold this and Trilogy 1 on ebay and they went for beans, I believe this car is Trilogy kit #7 (A friend of mine has #8).

Bring this down to Carlisle all ford nationals and you'll immediately leave with a first in class trophy for sure. Hell it'd be awesome to see this on display there.

Make a dedicated thread when this arrives, would love to read about it. I thought I was cool having the S55 SEMA/Prototype gauge cluster in my car but this puts me in my place haha.

Edit: for anyone curious, the ebay link 2003 Mercury Marauder | eBay

I'd love to see the dyno sheet with 550 at the wheels, that is very very very healthy for a trilogy with a 3.0 pulley.

PM me :) And yeah, I missed out on them when they were first offered a year ago. I ended up buying a 2014 Viper TA. No regrets on that one haha. I saw this one on ebay and had to have it.

It would be mine. With a kid on the way and the stupid used car market I sold the Challenger 1320 and went and picked that up.

GTRs are just retarded expensive now, clean cars in the Mid-40's. This was a 3rd of that and is super clean.

This is also a GTS-4, which is an R32 with a 5spd ATTESA AWD system from the GTR and an Rb20det. Baby Zilla

I got a pile of parts already, stand alone, injectors, turbo. May grab a RB25 Neo next week too. Don't want the wife to kill me.

Long term, like 5 years out I'd like to strip it down, stich Weld and get an Active Garage kit for it. They hold the original lines but are wider.

I know exactly what that car is. Congrats man! For that price.. i might have been a player too.

I will have an R32 some day. I know some people dont like this gen, but it is probably my favorite with the r33 and 34 following closely behind.

R32 is best Gen, hands down. I also think the 180SX Type-X is the best S-chassis, not the S15.

The R32 was just stupid amazing in 1989. Coil on plug, fuel injected, turbo, irs, on and on. Just compare it to any BMW or Audi of that Era and they blow them away.

I really enjoyed reading the info you posted. Brought back fond memories of wrenching on late '60s, early '70s muscle cars. It was good that your dad wanted to change the color, because removing the red revealed the original paint color. And now it's restored back to Mist Blue. Also good that it's a true Super Sport and it has a 4-speed transmission. Really nice Impala. You're fortunate to have it. Do you take it to local car shows?
