The Porsche GT3 RS is fast, but the Porsche GT2 RS is ****ing nuts.

Porsche GT2 RS, Porsche GT3 RS, and a Camaro ZL1 do a couple hot laps at Carolina Motorsports Park during a Maxspeed Track Days HPDE event. The GT3 is impressive, but the GT2 is flying! It was an extremely fast run group with multiple cars running 1:3X lap times including a Corvette ZR1 (C7), a couple of Corvette C8's (on slicks), and a couple racecars. Almost everyone was on R-comp tires or slicks. It was a great time representing Racing for ALS. Looks like a lot of fun. Those ZL1's are a serious performance value. To even be able to hang with those cars is a testament to that car. Good video too, thanks for not having a 10 minute intro with 5 minutes of yucking it up in the middle, and a 20 minute summary.

Who has time for that! I'm not a fan of the the "drag it out" style of some people's vids.

Nice vid. I was surprised to see the GT3 run away from you on the straights. Fast cars!

One of my fav tracks, been running there since 03. Good hard driving, amazing the ZL was keeping that pace, as she is a bit heavier than the other two. Nicely done ... However, I have to admit, I feel better about my times in the GTR, bone stock, running 40 flat on Dun(s)lop run flats ... lol ..

I can honestly say that you (assuming you're in the Camaro) are a significantly better driver than the guy in the 3RS.

I'm out there 5-8 times per year. Stop by if you see me out there. I've run as fast as 1:38.5 and have some more left in the car. I'll be running NASA Time Trials May 1-2 in TT2 class. Nice times in the GTR.

My "maximum effort" lap:

Thanks for posting. Main reason I run my gt3 on track is I don't get heat soak like the z06/1le does here in Florida. Last week at Daytona I was running in the race group with a modded 1le. By the end of the day he was running 5 seconds slower per lap mainly due to heat soak! :(
