I agree. It’s called the Christian coast for a reason. They are all good people. They just want some sun.

They basically always have to pay. Its not specifically to restore systems either, they stole over 100gb of company data, so they paid to keep that from getting released. Other reports said the decrypt tool was legit, but simply slow enough that also restoring backups made the recovery quicker. The scammers also have to stick to their word in these deals or the next company is much less likely to pay at all.
