Haha, I can totally understand OP's logic. Shelby ≠ daily driver

I had to daily the Mach for about 2 weeks while my truck was down and Im not quite sure how I did it for 5+ years. Young and dumb I guess. Even without the obnxious bypass valve and such.

i think 5 years ago.. I could.

Now ? No way. Don’t get me wrong I loved the feeling of banging through the gears WHILE doing it.

but then getting out of the car in pain after a 15 minute drive. Nope.

I’ll tell ya though I saw blue notch yesterday, and I’d love a “ once a month” type of car at some point I think. But automatic. I had an 88 gt years ago and miss that car.

I can definitely say though. Went out to dinner. Got into the jeep. Drove it there ate.. drove back. Was SOOOOO much better.

I always wanted a Shelby... got one for the right price. Enjoyed it a bit made a few bucks to roll over into the jeep and not lose money. but it definitely wasn’t the “ dream car “ I always thought I wanted.

the seats in the mach are comfortable as hell, no issue there. Going to the store and such blows though (putting subs in the trunk so not much room for stuff back there).

Sounds like you made the right decision for you. I am bit surprised at the number of people who seem to think the Shelby is harsh. I would agree if we are talking first Gen viper or Ac Cobra but I thought the Shelby’s were decent even on long trips. All depends on what your perspective is.

Enjoy your Jeep. They are fun despite being slow. I have owned several BTW. Currently have a 18 JL Rubicon and have a Sasquatch Badlands on order. Then again I hate the wife’s floating barge.

I daily a GTR so I forgot what a smooth riding vehicle feels like.

Just saying, we rode 3.5+ hrs to MA from ME in our 11 GT500 and yeah, for wifie and I it was a blast. Tangled with a M4 Dinan, fun. Yep, tech is aging in 'the oldie', but it was better then the ST Explorder this time.

Talk about uncomfortable, wait until you road trip that Jeep 600 miles.

93 is a full dollar more a gallon than 87.

I don’t have to even use my left leg anymore. As someone over 6 foot.. I don’t have to climb down into the car, and pull myself out.. don’t have to shift.

suspension wise.. that doesn’t bother me.

the seats even base model are more comfortable than my Shelby. When I did that road trip .. I was always just readjusting my body, or my legs.

or.... comfort with if it rains ( and in east Texas it rains all the time ) id MUCH rather be in this jeep than a modded Shelby.

Once I throw tires on it. I can onto the beach.. or a camping trip... or into the mountains in December can’t do ANY of that in the Shelby.

sure, I could have gotten this jeep, and done both... or.. traded in the Shelby make some money.. get a very clean non abused Jeep with zero money out of my pocket.. lol

Definitely more utility in a Jeep but I love taking my Shelby on road trips. Hell I drove it home 1400 miles the day I got it and loved it. And I have a ****ed up back too lol.
