One of my brothers sold at $9. My other brother ridiculed him for locking in his losses lol.

The dynamics are so unusual, people really have no idea where the stock is going. How do you anticipate what direction these flash speculators are going to go? Does a new flavor of the day cause them to bail like yelling squirrel! to a dog? If the synthetic share thing makes AMC pop, I'll have to get a LOT more educated about how that is used. Because, it certainly will be manipulated a lot more, success will breed a thousand copy cats.

I purchased a large pile of both amc and gme when it was very low. I'm doing very well today. Where does the train stop? My financial planner told me to avoid these stocks, so I'm doing this on my own. Everything else, he handles.

DCA out. It's impossible to guess the top. Better off taking profits along the way.

• AMC Entertainment stock (NYSE:AMC) has been halted for volatility, up 92% in a surge over and above earlier gains.
• Volume has crossed nearly 410M shares moved, vs. a daily average of about 112M shares.
• It's making its biggest intraday move since the famous January 2021 surge.
• AMC's market cap has now surpassed that of fellow "meme stock" favorite GameStop (NYSE:GME), itself up 7.4% on the day.
• That comes shortly after Whitney Tilson called a short-term top in AMC and other Reddit-popular stocks - though AMC was up just 37% at that time.
• Updated 12:35 p.m.: A resumption brought a quick pullback to a 60.3% gain in one minute of trading, triggering another volatility pause.
