The dyno is just a tool for tuning, as long as you're gaining hp over your previous numbers who gives AF. Any of us could go anywhere and put down different numbers.

Yeah, I won't say I'm an expert. But from what I've seen, guys that go custom cams like TW or Kurgan- and not just something off the shelf - pick up very good numbers.
Oh, and that video is from him is from old setup. I believe at that time he was running a Gen 2 non-crusher 2.9 Whipple and still stock cams. Here is with this new setup at the same dyno/tuner:

And 617whp isn't bad on only 12 degrees, isn't safe tuning 16 to 18 degrees? Someone correct me, but isn't a degree of timing worth about 15whp, normally?? And with a 2.9, you aren't near peak. Who is your tuner? Though on 91, I understand the reason for the lower timing.
Conservative is relative to boost and fuel. I tune my own stuff. I wasn't commanding 12, but a couple things were pulling timing. I had just started with the set up so I was learning. I now have 15 degrees on pump and 19 on E85. I'm sure most will say my timing on E85 is conservative. It hasn't been on the dyno since.

Yeah, that sounds like conservative numbers. You have some nice room to grow for sure once you decide for more. What gen whipple do you have?

Absolutely. That's why I brought up intervention as my example cause he's gotten his car tuned with the same reputable tuner at the same dyno. So we can see what those mods have done. Which is why i don't think 750whp is out of the realm of possibility with the mods mentioned. Cause I think more importantly than knowing that we've gained hp, is how much. And that's why there's dynos. Because something far less reliable than a dyno is someone's butt-dyno. I know I'm going to gain power if I upgrade my blower, but how much? I'd rather have a sheet of paper showing me data than have someone tell me "yup, it's faster cause that's what I feel". Give me that and I can research the tuner's/dyno's rep myself. Just my 2 cents

Just looked on Lethal, they still have gen 4 2.9's, and you can also purchase the crusher upgrade now

Crusher? Mind if I ask what you paid?
I have the standard inlet got it for 3600. They still have the standard inlet on Lethal's website, then I guess you have to buy the crusher upgrade separate for another 2,350.

At the time I purchased my blower there was no option for a crusher upgrade, but I guess now there is.

Dang, the crusher is an expensive upgrade. 2/3 the price of the actual supercharger is kind of nuts

I think the 3.4's were like 2800 and the gen 4 was a bit more, or maybe the Gen 4 2.9 was 2800 and and the 3.4 was 2400. Either way they were cheap and I kick myself for not buying some to resell. I could have made a few grand in a month or so time.
That's not a bad idea. I did that back when I was into ATVs. Bought a couple extra exhaust systems during a black Friday sale and sold them for enough to where the exhaust system for my ATV was basically free.

750 on pump gas sounds very high....but those Todd warren cams are very much a wild card. I've said since day one that the 2.65 came out it needed cams in the worst way....and would probably really shine if the correct combo was unlocked. It never looked well suited for the factory terminator cams profile like the gen4 2.9

So, great results Toast21, and thanks for posting them. I for one would like to see the dyno sheet.....and see what the TQ curve looks like.

The crusher is expensive.....but damn, the results between a standard inlet gen4 2.9 and a a crusher are pretty damn dramatic. Both HP and TQ jump exponentially. Traps speeds too. Many mph at the track.
