Took delivery of my 2021 GT500 yesterday. First impressions are, out of the 18 prior Mustangs I have owned, this one is in the top three. This is an awesome car. I checked and double checked the car prior to taking delivery. As with anything, the most obvious, went without noticing.

Get this, obviously, the person on the assembly line assigned to the driver's side, must have been asleep at the wheel. The sill plate on the driver's side is a plain Jane, Mustang black one. The sill plate on the passenger side is the nice Ford Performance one.

The dealer already took photos and Ford is sending a new set to them this week. Here are some photos of the car, I will get some better ones later. Great car, nice finish, great shifting and sound. Overall, the car is awesome.

You'd be surprised how often something like that happens.

Love the car. Peel the stripes off.

Thanks, mine must have been built last that day! Rush to get out!!!

Either that, or they didn't have any FP sitting in the bin so he grabbed the next one and slapped it on so the car didn't stop on the line and it would make it through QC.

It costs Ford, and other large manufacturers, over $20k/minute for line stoppages.

Wow, interesting. Do you have any idea on these are adhered to the car? Glue? I don't see any fittings, or anything. I hope by peeling the wrong one up, it doesn't cause an issue.

They pop in and out. There will be 3-4 prongs that slide into grooves. There won't be any issues.
