Tesla is still a better deal at that point. Down 900HP give or take and at a 10th of the price.

Still a great race and the Rimac is a hell of a car!!! Plus it just looks great and is built well.
Will be interesting to see the Rimac vs the Lotus Evija as it is almost identical in power/cost

Lol yes this was the expected outcome. But the initial launch is about even. I read that the Tesla Plaid + had similar performance specs to the Nevera but they killed it because the Plaid itself is already so fast. You can't argue with a 9.2 second 1/4 mile at over 150 mph and a top speed of 200 mph. I could see Tesla however eventually releasing the Plaid + with 4 motors. The current Plaid only has 3 motors vs the 4 in the Nevera.

And then there is of course the Roadster. I know you're skeptical if that will ever see the light of day and you could be right. Tesla has a lot on their plate right now trying to get the Cybertruck out and still churn out their current models. They do however have their giga factories coming online. Those plants are huge at 8 million sf. I spent some time working in the Livonia Transmission Plant which is around 3 million sf and that is huge. Now imagine something almost 3 times the size. Wow!

Good excuses for the Tesla, lol! Tesla driver red lighted the first run and got reeled in HARD.

Nevera - Hand built car in which only 150 will ever be made. Way better autonomy and engineering than the Tesla.
Tesla Plaid - Mass produced factory car. Nothing handmade about it. Not as advanced as the Nevera. Costs less, but so does any mass produced car versus a hand made one.

Both have under 400 miles of range, but the Nevera is basically better in every single way. Did I mention it is a completely different car compared to the Tesla?

Nevera hands down.

Yea it is crazy! The times certainly are interesting. And to have the cars be so close yet one is down by 900hp is even crazier.
They were only close momentarily. Then it was like the Tesla shut it off and the Nevera motored on. 3/4 of the race it was not even close.

2 mill car vs 130k, also how does the nevera have better autonomy? Tesla is ahead in the electric game and things are just getting better and better. Plaid will have a software update and seats 4 people. Does the nevera even have valet mode where it picks you up, leaving its parking spot?

I love the tech, but 2 mil im getting a laferrari. Or a slew of other cars.

Opinion: There’s a new electric hypercar — the $2.4 million Rimac Nevera is made in-house and features a co-pilot.

You also forgot that it is a 2.4M HAND-MADE limited car versus a every day run of the mill factory production car that is mass produced. Same concept applies when people go out of their way to compare the performance of a Tesla to a hyper car that in every way shape and form is all around better. But but but, the tesla accelerates hard.... That's about it.

I could build a 7 second fox, a 100mpg hybrid, a track-rat miata, add air suspension to a late 80s Grand Marquis, and then use my left over cash to buy green credits for a Chinese automaker, all for less than the price of this thing.
