IMO this is still the beginning. Not too late to get in with a good chunk. By that I mean 10-20% portfolio value. BTC, ETH, ADA, DOT, LINK just a few. Personally I can see ETH hitting $10k by end year 2021. This isn't child's play anymore it's a new currency adoption driven by the people. Comparable to the internet adoption we saw in the 90s.

Posting to get sub'd on this thread.

Should have bought into BTC and ETH, but i'm holding ADA and VET for the time being. Will be interesting to see how the El Salvador thing plays out.

Bitboy Crypto said if you're not in ETH now you missed the boat like you did Bitcoin. And that Cardano would be a better option to gain entry.

Then in another video he says ETH might touch $20,000 this year. Earlier in the year he predicted $27,000. That's still a 5-6x increase from the current price! He is all over the place lol!

Could ETH go to $20k this year? If it follows Bitcoin's 2017 path which it has so far then yes it could. For a short while. But if that were to happen it will probably crash down again. The question is how low. The deflationary narrative for ETH, coupled with ETH 2.0 being around the corner and all the use cases that Ethereum has could give the bull run more legs. Nobody knows though. I won't be cashing out all my ETH even if it goes to $20k. Selling just 20 ETH @ $20,000 would net $400,000. But then you have a hefty tax bill. I really don't feel like paying all those capital gains taxes. And long term ETH could go much higher than $20K.

Bitboy says he plans on selling 80% of his portfolio and then buy back in lower. Well I hope he is getting ready to be raped by Uncle Sam when it comes to paying taxes. How much capital gains tax would he have to pay on + $10 million?

Anyone that says you missed the boat on Eth I'll say is an idiot. Granted, I'm sure he knows more than I do but I'll throw an opinion in ignorance. Eth has the highest chance to follow Bitcoin's lead. If you could invest in Bitcoin when it was 3k would you? You would dump everything you had in it and then some.
As far as other people I have set my best friend up and my wife up accounts and paid their first 100.00. I even matched my wife for a few months and now she has almost 2k in hers. She still buys a 100.00 here and there. I think crypto is still on the 2nd floor. It's established, we all know about it and it's going up and up even if it corrects. Few people can't afford to risk 100.00. Even adding 50.00 a month it'll grow and grow. But no, you shouldn't throw your life savings into it...that's just stupid. Not to say that it wouldn't still have the potential to be brilliant. (Doge Coin Millionaire) I'm about at my highest again and I pulled profits last time the market was bullish. Good thing is we have not even started to get bullish yet. I think we are going to see a significant gain this cycle.

BE CAREFUL........BIG THINGS AHEAD COULD BE CATASTROPHIC FOR "SPECULATORS"!!

Black Swan Event will be the start of the new ISO flare network monetary family. Everything is ready for the switch. From Swift > Quantum Financial System, BTC > Blockchain ISO regulated asset backed metals MSM > Starlink & Project Odin $€ > Gold Dark to Light.

MOAB Event: DECLAS, Global Currency Reset, Gold/Precious Metal Standard, Nesara/Gesara. Mother of All Bombs. Multiple Payloads Inbound. So when it says on the clock. One is imminent. Another next week by looking at sequence.

Anyone that takes actual Crypto advice and info from Bitboy is just asking to lose their money. That guy is so far off on his predictions it isn't even funny. At one point when the correction was taking place he said BTC would never drop below $42k and then it went to $29k. Then at $29k he was talking like the bull run was over. Then when it recovered in Aug he said market cycle top by September.

He is just a click bait warrior that sways with the wind.

If you want decent Crypto discussion on youtube, look up Benjamin Cowen. At least his TA has been consistent from March until now. He was predicting a "summer lull" as he put it back in April and he believes that the cycles are lengthening so the cycle top won't be this year like everyone else is claiming.

I'm sure there are others with decent TA but that's just the one I watch. Way better than Bitboy.

Yes, Bitboy is good for overall crypto news and new ones coming online, but, not much else. I like cryptoface in addition to Cowen.

I've started going HAM into EOS.. Peter Thiel is behind a new exchange launching on it.
It's akin to ETH without gas fees.. 5B market cap.. exchange launches q4/21 into q1/22.. I'm expecting it to get the ETH/ADA/SOLANA pump action.

I bought in the low 5s last week

I like Benjamin and his TA presentation style. I also like non TA personalities like "We are all George" (cryptosrus), Lark Davis and a few others. Ivan Tech should not be skipped. He brings a different angle and has tempered his predictions. He is also a programmer himself and has done videos where he creates a simple blockchain from scratch in minutes.

They all bring something to the space I think.

Nobody really knows what prices we're going to see though and are looking at historical data for clues as well as political developments.

I agree Bitboy is all over the map. I do like his content though and he has been transparent about his holdings. He showed his crypto portfolio on his channel months ago. It was over $10 million back then. None of the other youtubers have the balls to show their portfolios. Politically he leans to the right also which I like.

I would like him to address though how he is going to handle the capital gains tax issue. He's had some tax related content in the past. I assume he can write off a lot because his channel employs quite a few people and they have office space and many expenses.

Agreed, no one really knows what the prices will do, but Bitboy always comes across a knowing exactly what the price will do and then when he's wrong he always has an excuse for it.

As for the portfolios of youtubers, I couldn't give 2 shits about that. Telling what you hold doesn't give you instant credibility.

I am soooooo glad I bought Solana. Hell, even all the others LOL. When it crashed I pumped more in. Unfortunately I should have had some balls and just dumped in 100k. That alone will make us millionaires. I just don't have the balls to do that. Most of my investing is in large caps and megas.

Long term capital gains max rate right now is 20% plus the 3.8% Medicare surcharge.

Biden want to set top capital gains rate at 39.6% plus the 3.8% Medicare surcharge.

The only problem is that Biden may make the rate retroactive to 1 Jan 2021, if passed.

Add state tax if applicable.

Reddit crowd takes aim at Bitcoin as it becomes legal tender in El Salvador

  • The Bitcoin (BTC-USD) subreddit community is looking at a coordinated plan to buy the cryptocurrency to commemorate El Salvador's law making it legal tender.
  • President Nayib Bukele tweeted yesterday that the country had purchased a total of 400 Bitcoins.
  • It was three months ago (and with the price at $35K) that Bukele made a surprise appearance at Miami's Bitcoin 2020 conference to announce plans to make the crypto legal tender in his country.
  • According to tweets, a large Brazilian Reddit (REDDIT) community with more than 3M users plans is being called on to buy $30 in Bitcoin.
  • The law in El Salvador goes into effect at 3 p.m. local time (5 p.m. ET) and citizens will be able to download a digital wallet and receive $30 in Bitcoin after entering their ID number.
  • Bitcoin (BTC-USD) is now down about 1%, moving below $52K.
  • Reddit coordinating: In a post titled "So ... We all buying $30 worth of Bitcoin on Tuesday," user thadisusb writes: "3,316,862 Community Members X $30/each = $99,505,860 (give or take based on currencies used) ... El Salvador will have the crypto launch @ 3 PM. I say we coordinate for this time, which is 2 PM Pacific Standard time. Thoughts? ... I have meant this as more of a support gesture, rather than a pump. It's a first that a nation has adopted Bitcoin. This is an important time in Bitcoin. Let's show El Salvador, for those who are on the fence about it still, that Bitcoin has value for them. And for everyone. Bitcoin is meaningful."
  • The post has more than 2,000 comments, with 86% giving the idea a thumbs up.
  • Whether the plan comes to fruition is another matter, with Vijay Ayyar, head of Asia Pacific with crypto exchange Luno in Singapore telling Bloomberg it would be challenging.
  • “Saying something and actually doing it are very different,” Ayyar says.
  • On Friday, SA contributor John Rhodes argued that even "if there's a high chance of failure, or loss, over a long period of time, Bitcoin (BTC-USD) can be an outstanding asymmetric bet."

Almost $7k crash for bit today.. oooof

Weird, you would think bounce up?

Riot Blockchain, Bit Digital stocks swoon as bitcoin slumps

  • Bitcoin-related stocks slide, following a 9.0% drop in the world's biggest cryptocurrency by market cap, bringing bitcoin to ~$46.9K.
  • The most obvious drop comes from bitcoin miners: Bit Digital (BTBT -10.7%), Bitfarms (BITF -8.0%), Riot Blockchain (RIOT -8.7%), Marathon Digital (MARA -8.6%), Hut 8 Mining (HUT -7.2%). Others caught in the downdraft include Coinbase (COIN -3.8%), MicroStrategy (MSTR -7.0%), Grayscale Bitcoin Trust (OTC:GBTC -8.1%), and Osprey Bitcoin Trust (OTCPK:OBTC -9.8%).
  • Other major cryptos also swoon — ethereum (ETH-USD) declines 14%, Cardano (ADA-USD) falls 16%, XRP (XRP-USD) -19%, Binance Coin (BNB-USD) -19%.
  • The crypto decline comes as the subreddit community attempts to coordinate the purchase of bitcoin to show support for El Salvador's adoption of bitcoin as legal tender becomes effective today.
  • El Salvador President Nayib Bukele buys the dip. "150 new coins added," he says via tweet.

Wouldn’t think it would bounce up at all..

a country spent $20 million in 48 hours.. kicked the price wayyyy up. So.. sell off happened..

probably huge margin calls…. This is why copy paste doesn’t work for learning things lol
