You won’t be disappointed. I highly recommend paint correction to get rid of any imperfections.
If you don't mind me asking how much did it cost for your ceramic coating? I was at a BMW dealership with my mom today to test drive a few cars and the salesman told me they do ceramic coatings, films and color corrections in their dealership, on older cars also. He says they keep the car in the detail shop for 3 days for it to cure.

I would like to have a ballpark price so I know if they are overpriced or not. SInce your buddy did the work I am assuming he gave you a special price? If you don't want to share that I understand. Perhaps you can provide his retail price if that's the case?

VERY special price. I only paid for the materials ($145) because my buddy won’t let me pay him. I believe his regular price is in the $1,000-$1,300 depending on the condition of the paint. I believe Scott said it can range from $1000-$2000 or so depending on the condition of the paint. For a brand new vehicle $1000-$1200 would be average I believe.

What coating did you go with, Bob? I had mine done with GTechniq Crystal Serum Ultra along with PPF on the entire front clip. Washing is a breeze!
He used Wolfgang PROFI Ceramic Coating Application Kit.
* Wolfgang PROFI Ceramic Coating.
* Wolfgang Perfekt Finish Paint Prep.

Here are some quick photos I took before I had to spend 2 hours securing a snapped chain on my garage door opener.

Thanks everyone. I had a bit of a mishap yesterday afternoon, but my GV-70 wasn't directly involved. I was trying to connect my garage door opener to my Genesis HomeLink and in the process, my garage door opener went into ERROR mode. To clear it, I had to press and hold buttons on the garage door opener head. Suddenly, BANG! The chair mechanism broke, sending the chain to the floor. I now have to have my wife hold the garage door up if I have to use my GV-70. I have a service appointment next Thursday afternoon so in the meantime I'll have to limit my going in and out of the garage bay. Sucks, but thankfully the chain didn't bind and snap while my GV-70 was parked in the garage.

the coating looks great! The dimpled/patterned spokes are...interesting I suppose

the ac vents remind of the ones in a Tesla model 3 (never been in the other models to compare)

Here you go, Bob!
Wow! Funny, because I bought my 2019 Genesis G-70 after it was voted Motor Trend's COTY. And now I bought the 2022 Genesis GV-70 and find that it's Motor Trend's COTY. I'm going to have to find a copy of the magazine.

Honestly, when I first saw them I wasn't wanting them. Then, after I watched a video explaining why they have the diamond pattern, I did a 180. They tie in the diamond patterns found on the front end and and the rear end. I really like them now. But I can understand why some would prefer something else. This photo shows what I'm talking about with the tying in of that diamond design element.

Nothing against your SUV, but I quit paying attention to Motor Trend and their car or truck of the year when they proclaimed the Honda Ridgeline the "Truck" of the year several years ago. What a joke.
I am sure you will enjoy your new ride.

Lol at "can't use your phone and drive or get a ticket.... here's a screen in the middle of your view" I guess it does make sense to a degree. You don't have to look down to your console as much, still funny to me the new trend.

Any way not my style of vehicle but if I was looking for something like that I have nothing bad to say about it. Seems like a sweet cruiser. My friends Stinger is nicer than I expected.

How about the trend to a warning message to check the rear seats for your kids when you shut the car off? How much of a brain dead parent do you have to be to forget that your own kids are in the car?
Mankind is doomed...

Yeah, but explain the downside. That shit does happen, if it saves a kid's life and doesn't impact the price I don't see how it's a bad idea.

Plus a lot of times with those stories you always winder if it was on purpose. Now there is a warning too so less likely to play victim and get out of it.

The downside is that it encourages laziness, it encourages a disrespect for your own children, it encourages people to not take responsibility. It is another step to a norm of stupidity. THAT is the downside, and it is HUGE.

I get your point of view but just cause I have airbags doesn't mean I take collisions less seriously. I was editing my post when you replied. I think you would agree with the second part. Makes it a lot harder to have an "accident".

Beautiful suv Bob. Even the interior is very nice.

I'd seen a brand new GV80 in a white color nearby my I work the other day. Wow, that is really nice. A real head tuner!
