Some years ago my wife and I started to have Cornish Hens for Thanksgiving, a much cheaper option and quite filling and tasty. Give it a try.

Had a pair of those Christmas dinner last year. Threw them on the smoker and wow were they delicious.

So you got the rooster, the chicken and the hen. The rooster goes with the chicken. So who’s having sex with the hen?

I mean not like my weekly paychecks aren’t taxed already or anything. Big woop, you increase the bracket but inflation has more than tripled what my raise % was.

This has been nothing but a boom to personal net worth. .. now if youre on the outside looking in, it's a tougher spot.

Who cares if Thanksgiving dinner costs an extra $50, when your net worth added tens to hundreds of thousands.... if not millions.
For the most part, if you did it right, you are in fine shape? Who cares about an extra Grant for the holiday? A lot of people do even those who have done it right. Why? All of the poppycock and shenanigans from Brandon shouldn't be happening. I will say though, is if $50.00 makes or breaks someone, they have much bigger issues than a holiday dealing with eating like pigs.

Getting back to the fifty dollar increase, if he keeps doing his best to ruin the country, think of what prices will be next year. Hell, I'd be shocked if a gallon of 93 octane doesn't hit a Lincoln by Xmas or shortly thereafter.

$50 for some people is a make or break on each paycheck. Its unfortunate but its a reality for many families.

We've cut back on beef and use more chicken and fish in our diet. I won't eliminate beef entirely (like it too much); just cutting back. I'm seeing food packages shrinking along with the price increases.

Reminds me of someone cooking either a chicken or duck inside a Turkey (not a full turducken) and the late teen/early 20's girl got upset thinking that they cooked a pregnant turkey.

At this rate big cities will be using Pigeons in a decade.
Thank goodness I can harvest Pheasant and Quail, and have many friends that raise cattle.

Sure it is and that is a big problem because in the grand scheme of things fifty bucks is not a lot of money. Such an amount can be anything from food or fuel to a utility bill and I don't think Brandon understands how inflation will not be isolated to one area. Food today but what about tomorrow? Don't get me wrong I'd be pissed if I lost that amount of money out of my wallet but life wouldn't be altered.

The point wasn't exactly 50 extra dollars for Thanksgiving.

It's that if you own a home, have a job and a car or 2 and a retirement plan.... this has all been for your benefit.

Residents of the State of Maine passed a Constitutional Amendment on Nov 3rd in what some see as a roadblock to the State or especially the Federal Government from dictating or controlling the right to grow or produce food. It is the first such Constitutional Amendment in the Country. It is call the "Right to Food" Amendment.
It will be interesting to see if other States adopt similar measures.

The measure passed by over a 60% margin.
