I'm picturing someone with a decent supply of cash buying up all the used V-8's, remaning them and storing them. Around 2040 the demand will be incredible.

Are you going to produce your own fuel too?

People still don't realize how fast the switch will be, it will be just like, computers, the internet or smartphones.

You're gonna push a button... walk outside to your car and be taken to your selected location, dropped off at the door while the car goes and parks itself. Or picks up it's next rider through fractional ownership.

Well…. Since the liberals have this whole EV fetish & plan to take the Country with them when they dive off this cliff….., where are they going to get all this electricity from?
They haven’t even thought that far ahead.
And another piece of this humorous puzzle. How many homes & industries currently use fossil fuels for heat? With all those converting to electric after they ( yeah right ) eliminate fossil fuels, how much strain would that put on the nation’s already suffering electrical grid? What, are they planning on canceling winter?
So yeah, the smartest minds aren’t in the group on this one…

I have. Many. Including every Tesla except the S plaid. No thanks. Soulless and boring. Just my opinion and more than likely won’t change. Oh and performance EV’s are just a carrot on a string. They will be gone once the electric push is fully implemented.

You're wrong about that. Come back into this thread in a few years and, well, apologize. LOL! Truth is, in today's market the expensive HIGH performance EVs are out of the reach of most. And so are high horsepower ICEs. Auto makers will phase out ICE vehicles and when they expand their EV offerings they'll continue to make high horsepower models with smaller production runs aimed at the people who can afford them and want them. The rest of us will read about them on the Internet and dream of someday owning one. Maybe a used one.

When they let you...

EVs, especially ones with self driving modes, are gateway drugs into removal of the automobile as an individuals ability to freely move about society.

You're enticed with cheap power now and fast versions, but that's easily changed once mass implementation occurs.

Soulless. Boring. Fake noise pumped into and out of the car. It was cheesy when some ICE makers did this to some models and it's cheesy now.

I really do like the look of the car, but hate the wheels.

Sure thing Bob. I’ll gladly come and apologize if I’m wrong. However I’m not saying people don’t want them, I’m more referring to the power source availability. We don’t have the grid. We also have no plan for reliable grid. Or the raw materials. Or the recycling capabilities. Its my educated opinion that the plan is not to replace you ICE car an electric. Its to limit your transportation option to ride sharing and public transportation.

I have no doubt federal regulations will definitely start reel in the high performance EVs once production of EVs is more mainstream...Feds manage to **** up everything that is fun.

So here’s an idea. During this transition to eliminate fossil fuels, you burn through all the strategic reserves you bought for $29 per bbl, (which is what this administration is doing now) leaving the Country defenseless, then when the electric grid can’t handle it you buy back 800 million bbls back from Russia for $200 per bbl to restock it. That’s Jethro math.
If only they could figure out a way to have china supply us with electricity.
I don’t see any problems here.
