How's the threat looking for you guys in the affected areas? We are in central NC calling for 1-3 inches of snow overnight with 3-5 inches of snow/ice tomorrow. I know that doesn't sound like much for you guys up north but the ice is the killer here, especially combined with estimated 40mph wind gusts tomorrow.

We are out in the sticks so if we lose power I imagine it will be awhile before they get out our way to get it back on. Also, they have not salted any of the roads out our way, only the main road 4~ miles away.

I know other areas are going to get hit a lot harder than us. Stay safe guys

Hoping your aren't terribly affected by the storm. I read through the areas in the path of the storm in the southeast. Hope and pray everyone stays safe. The plus is that being a Saturday, more/most people can stay home. Be safe folks!

I hope it’s not too bad, they have us coming in to work tomorrow. By the sound of it we will be working on Martins B-day too.

NW VA. Supposed to get 10” or so with ice on top of that. Left 85* and sunny in Jamaica this morning, now this shit tomorrow. At least I left the plow on the truck before we left town.

We rarely get a lot of snow in Western Washington but 2-3 weeks ago we got hit pretty hard with snow and ice for about a week. My manager just moved here from Wisconsin so snow and cold isn't anything new to him, but he was surprised at how cold it still feels at even just 20 degrees because it is a wet cold that easily penatrates multiple layers of clothing and especially your shoes. There's the fact that there is so much elevation in the region that it changes the entire dynamic of driving in snow and ice. Just cause you are from the north or cold weather states doesn't mean the cold is the same everywhere else.

The real question is why does everybody in the south run out and buy all of the milk and bread? If I'm thinking i will be stuck at home i want something better than this to eat. For the record yes I'm southern born and raised so i can make fun of us lol. BTW

SHOdown220 hope you don't lose power but with the ice and wind its not sounding good, we have about the same forecast.
