Also, Biden visited Buffalo and is going to visit Texas but never visited and now never mentions Waukesha.

A steel door that bolts from the inside would also stop this. The gunman came through an unlocked side door.
In a heavily Democrat district. And how many others happened under Trump? Most happen when dims are in office.

I think we can all agree this guy was screwed in the head. Mental illness is the issue. When you have someone with a death wish that doesn't care if they die or not, it can be almost impossible to stop them. Ask our good friends in Israel about that.

With it being so close to being done for the summer, probably quite a few. I know my wife was getting text about if we were dropping our oldest off today from other moms
In an ideal world, legal gun owners wouldn't have to worry about being bankrupted the the government for legally defending themselves or others with their legal guns. The government has made us sitting ducks for criminals while also emboldening the criminals.
My school did but anyone can walk in the front door to the office and start shooting and then hop over the counter and Presto instant access. Also, the most opportune time for a shooting is at dismissal when hundreds and sometimes thousands of students are leaving campus through open doors and open gates. There's literally no way to keep the kids completely safe.

Exactly. Even with well trained and armed guards at every classroom. And airport style security with controlled access, the kids are still sitting ducks when entering and exiting the school.
If someone wants to harm kids / people, they will go around whatever obstacles and get it done. Use whatever tool and get it done.
Its the way of the world, people. Terrible terrible things happen every day and all you can do is try to be as hard a target as possible, so that hopefully your defense / counter attack measures are enough.
I feel the best way to discourage this type of attack is never publicly acknowledge the perpetrator. Never show a photo, never say his name, ZERO publicity. And perp needs to be dealt the death penalty EXPEDITIOUSLY by electric chair, live.
Also, having a squad of armed and capable security monitoring / covering all sectors of school with near instant capability / response.
