Well, steering rack started to leak from drivers side. found a local covra rack that I'll be throwing in. At this point I think the power steering box wasn't venting pressure so it would build out and cause rack issues.l since this one has maybe 1200 miles on it.

Also swapped out the rear konis since the last set leaked from the top about 5 years ago. hopefully get the rack swapped out this weekend and be ready for Fab fords in 2 weeks. At least my issues happened now haha.

Found a local 03 cobra rack that was partially disassembled. I still have my old 03 cobra rack so I swapped hard lines over. I pulled the gt rack that was on the car but left the tierods on the wheels to keep the alignment.

For removal of the rack-
-I used hose pinches before the cooler and before the threaded coupling going into the rack from the hudroboost, so only rack lost fluid. -Then removed the tierods.
-made marks where my MMS steering rack bushings are
-removed both 5/8 bolts and dropped the rack.

Bleeding was real easy-
-filled up the Res
-Turned the wheels lock to lock about 20 times
-then turn over the ignition with the fuel pumps off for about 10 seconds
-Did this about 3 times

Then put it on the ground and started it up and took it for a quick drive.

So far no leaks! Since I reused my tierods the steering wheel is about 1 o'clock when driving straight. May just leave it u til I get back from fab fords.

Happy to be back on the road!

put my carbon driven setup on the radio bezel and shifter bezel. Had to hot glue the HVAC ducts to the radio bezel and hot glue my spare 10th anny boot to the shifter bezel. I like it but will probably sell it after the show and get red/black carbon radio, shifter, and door pulls to match it all.

Decided to rewire the trunk power and clean it up.

I put a 150amp breaker in the engine bay for trunk power and used welding leads wire. Each circuit has its own fuse now for the trunk. EMP pump 30amp, fuel pump1 30amp, fuel pump2 30amp, innovate sfc1 10amp.

Where did you get that distribution block? I'll have to check out the breaker you have at Fab Fords.

breaker is here:

fuse block is here:

also used these ends on the wire to ensure a good bite:

The breaker link is for a 100amp. I tried the 100 amp but with all the power I need for the trunk I kept popping the breaker on warm days so I went up to a 150amp.

Happy to say the car made it 800 mile total this weekend down to LA and back. No major problems, had to move the breaker to the wheel well, otherwise car ran great.

Show was awesome and got to meet a few members. The cobra community is an awesome group.

Also got 22mpg on e85 haha. few pictures from the drip.

Took the car out to meet up with some local cobras.

Ended up racing a crusher 2.9 at 27psi on the way home. He got me twice on 50-130 races, didn't have time for a 3rd race. I'd start to catch up towards the end of 4th but we were letting off around 140.

My trans is pretty notchey going from 3-4 regardless of how I adjust the clutch. Since I lose all boost on the 3-4 shift I'm going to get a wot box (n2mb) to help hold some boost. Looking forward to getting more races in and getting the car dialed.

Very nice. Always a good time getting some Cobras together and actually running them.
The WOT Box works well for the shift improvements you’re after.
I used the no lift shift last year first time and it’ll shoot flames and sound like a cannon pretty easy :)
With the turbo you might get some rolling anti lag and launch with some boost from a roll too.
