Xineering is awesome. They do not have a system for mechanical throttle bodies, just the electronic ones.

This winter is going to bring a lot of BIG changes for the ole' girl. I wanted to have a build thread that detailed from beginning to end. In order to do that, I need to back track a little bit.

When I first got the car, the goal was to continue running TT1 with NASA which I had been running with my Gen IV ACR. "Unfortunately" it dyno'd high enough that between the power, weight, slicks, and sequential it pushed me out of TT1. I didn't want to cut power, run 200TW tires or add 250# in weight...so I settled in TTU.

When I first got the car:

I wanted to add my own livery as I didn't like this one much. I ended up copying the 1998 Oreca livery off of the Viper that won at Le Mans, excuse the TT1 decal...it was replaced shortly after.

I ran the second half of 2020 in this configuration. Winter of 2020 I added front canards to give the front end a little more bite. The 2021 season was primarily used to get used to the car. It was definitely an adjustment from the ACR. No brake booster, the brakes needed a lot of heat to bite, turn in was different, being so much lighter the back end wanted to dance around quite a bit.

At the end of 2021 we rebuilt the Penske 8765 3-way shocks, HUGE difference. We also raised the wing 6-7" in order to give it some cleaner air to produce downforce. We did a fresh alignment and corner balance. We ended up taking out a ton of camber out of the front and rear. We were running a -3.5 and -2.4...ended up dropping it to -2.2 and -1.2, it handled a lot better. There was a little pushing through the corners, but I could attack them harder without fear of the rear end coming around.

Winter of 2021 brought more power. We did a heads/cam/throttle body and tune and were able to pick up 85rwhp and about 30 ft/lbs torque. Talk about a big difference. I was able to run about 10 mph faster on longer straights. Pulling out of corners was a breeze, almost taught some bad habits of being a point and shoot car rather than a carrying speed car. It's amazing how balanced it is in that aspect of racing.

2022 has been an amazing year. We've set 5 track records...1 at every track I've gone to this year. Hard to beat that. Damn Feras Qaurtomy is the only guy that's beaten me this year....and it was like bringing a slingshot to a machine gun range going against that dude.

This coming weekend is the NASA Central Region Finals...then off season begins. First track day will be in the end of January at COTA with a CHIN Track Day. Hoping to run into @Goose17 down there in his rocket of a GT500.

Before that...big changes are coming.

I'm working with a really good buddy of mine, Brad Perkins at Chicane Motorsports out of Olathe, KS. We are going to work jointly with Zebulon MSC out of Colorado, and AJ Hartman Aero. We are going to go with a full Time Attack aero package. Splitter, diffuser and dual element wing. Big everything. We're going to max out the aero to the power : weight and go as big as we can without sacrificing too much top end speed. I am going to keep my current setup for when I go to Rovals or high speed tracks; more of a low downforce/low drag kit...lower anyways.

THEN I'm going to be working with Geartronics out of the UK to get their paddleshift system installed and tuned for my car. The EMCO sequential is SOLID, but I want both hands on the wheel while going through corners. The system will include a rev match blip for downshifts and ignition cutting for flat foot upshifting. It'll be FAST.

We're going to rebuild the brake calipers and air jacks this off season as well.

More pictures coming in the coming months. The diffuser is 4-6 weeks out, and the wing/splitter is 8-10 weeks out.
Bad ass car!

I spent last weekend running around COTA again. I was able to recreate my fastest lap there of 2:23. I am at full weight, still rock’n the subwoofer in the trunk.

Can't wait to see the video when you post it. I'm hoping for that 2:10ish mark.

2:10 is nuts! I believe some stripped down track cars have gotten there. You will need to nail the line on one clean lap. Good luck!

Dope. Looking forward to see how this progresses. AJ has some really nice gear, and I’m betting the floppy paddle conversion will be a big confidence boost in heavy braking zones.

Parts ordered yesterday. Probably 8-10 weeks out. Hoping to have it done middle of January.

I currently have Krontec air jacks under the car. They're probably two years past needing rebuilt. My driver front one hangs down and I have to physically retract it. The two rear ones retract, but need the last 1" or so assisted. All four raise the car at a slightly different pace.

I had looked around for a shop to rebuild them. Looks like $300 or so a piece. I need a new fitting for the rear, $100 or so...and a new wand $400 or so. All in, would've been in that $1800-1900 range. I found Nuke Performance, based out of Sweden. They offer a solution that runs on shop air. Based on their calculations I can raise my car with about 115psi, rather than the 300 I've been doing. My large nitrogen tank will last a lot longer now. The kit also comes with safety stands, and no wand needed, just a regular air coupler.

Ordered yesterday, be here next Tuesday.

^it'll be the volume that matters for tank life, not psi though.

How much does the CC weigh? I'm guessing 2600/2700lbs?
They actually vary substantially.

Mine has a ton of weight savings. Headlights, taillights, dash, etc.

With 5 gallons of fuel, and with no driver mine weighs just at 2907#. I'm going to pull out the Coolshirt/helmet cooler this winter when I'm adding parts. I would guess it'll be 2950 next year.

Ordered. Ended up going with the MME Motorsports option. I chose this route over Geartronics, because first off Geartronics has supposed to be getting back to me for the last month...nothing. Secondly, I really like the idea that with the MME you can be WOT in 5th, know you're coming up to a corner where you'll downshift to 2nd...while you're WOT, you click the left paddle down to 2nd and when you take your foot off of the gas and press the brake, it will downshift at specific rpms automatically. Video to explain:
