I wouldn’t keep a Dodge, Ram (w/e the **** they call them now) if they gave it to me for free.

Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram… it’s all the same and they’re SHIT.
Interior's can be bland but IMO better put than some Ford's. My brother in-laws 20' Ram is pretty damn nice. Already tuned with E-85 (dont ask lol), runs and sounds great.

I love my 20 Explorer Platinum BUT has its issues starting with the back up camera. 3.0 EB's engines just recently got a TSB for the cam phaser rattle's just like the infamous 3.5 EB's had. Havent experienced anything major myself but wouldnt be surprised if it did at this point.

My new TRX lasted 4 weeks.
That POS was in the shop longer than I owned it.
Never again.
What was wrong with it?

The manufacturer honors the price on orders. The dealership would make the same money selling it to you for the ordered price, or the new price...but why not do the right thing and use the manufacturers money?
So if I follow you correctly, the dealers of the people I saw griping were marking them up? And possibly making up the story of the ’price protection guarantee’?

Possibly.

Example... Price A = MSRP at time of order, Price B = MSRP at time of delivery.

The dealer could be price protecting Price A, selling it for Price B and making more money. That would be pretty ****ed though.

It is not advantageous for dealers to screw customers like that. One viral post and they're toast.

I see. This was such an unusual amount of posts I saw talking about it, I simply expected I was late to the party and would pay the updated MSRP on a basically 1 year old truck at this point. So maybe my dealer simply followed the actual rules lol.

Yep. The manufacturers guarantee the price at time of order, no matter what price increases happen during production. Now, if whoever buys it isn't the person who ordered it, there is no price protection.

I’m no financial wiz by any means… but I really don’t think prices are gonna come down with inflation being what it is…

They'll creep down from what they are and have been just because dealers will start having stuff land on the lot... won't get down as low as when I sold you your truck haha

I mean I foresee rebates but do you plan to sell that truck for what I bought my 2019 for? 32k out the door?

I can’t imagine prices getting down below preplandemic levels do you?

No, but people will start to make deals. That Ram dealer is going to turn that inventory.

No, it won't be like it was pre pandemic, for quite some time.

This was a thankful surprise when my ‘22 GT500 arrived $4k over my 11/2021 order. They ‘accidentally’ gave me paperwork with the new MSRP but that was quickly corrected.
The other question is if you have a ‘22 Mach 1 order that won’t be built til ‘23MY then what will the price be. I’d assume ‘23MY MSRP. I’ve heard it’s only $300 higher.

Correct on the Mach 1 assumptions.

Local GMC dealer had enough new truck inventory to actually start lining them up on the front part of the lot.
