As mentioned, look who is laying off.

There are help wanted signs in every damn business I enter in this town.

Signs saying hiring all positions at all locations.

Does make me scratch my head how we have a low unemployment rate yet all these signs. Like where did all the people that used to fill these jobs go?

Forgot to mention, even the dry cleaner here bumped their two day turn around to four days. Kid at the counter said nobody wants to work lol.

The chipotle here is closed about as much as it's open due to lack of staff. Even when they are open they pretty much only hit the dinner rush.

Just saw a piece on men aged 25 to 54. Labor participation by that group is late 1930's level. It has been dropping steadily since the mid 60's.

I have a theory that people are “Yolo”ing it right now not giving a **** about consequences in terms of debt. I think the Left knows this and it will be a carrot at the next election.

I can't wait for the sell off to happen. I need another truck, motorcycle, mountain bike, and mountain home. I don't mind putting someones family on the street, or making their kids walk to school. People need to see the harsh reality of their stupid financial decisions.
Remind me not to help you when you need a hand, or when you need legal representation.

So very sad.

It does not have to be like this.

In the past 6-12 months, wife and I have shifted our grocery shopping to +95% Aldi's. Great fruit, vegetables, and meat. Very few brand name products.
Local grocery store is charging $8.05 for a jar of Mayonaise. Wife god damn near fell over.

Local hardware store has your average can of enamel spray paint for $7.99. SMFH.
Two years ago it was $4.99.

It's not that these stores are trying to **** the consumers. They're bustin' their ass just trying to make a living too.

It's the biden regime and their communist policies.

Wake the **** up people!
Damn son. 8$+ for a jar of mayo?

Definitely costs more than $5k a year more to have the same stuff.

We were spending $200 a week in groceries in 2020...now we're paying $300. That's $5k/year more before you factor in anything else.
Wife and I started a large garden this year, must have dropped like 300$ on soil and wood for the raised boxes. However, it’s looking To start to pay off. We have at least 10 gallon bags full of cherry tomatoes, 10 gallon bags of regular tomato, 5-6 bags gallon of cantaloupe etc. bins of onion, potato etc.

Food prices are outrageous right now.

Here's a good one. I went to Wally world with the wife this weekend. Weeks ago A 48 count of bottles of water was $3.89 she said. Now it's $6.39 for a 34 count. How's that? The water supply couldn't have changed the cost. It has to be packaging and shipping? Nope, greed has to be the major contributing factor.

At the local Walmart Monday.

Mobil1 five quart jugs just increased from $24.87, to $29.97. That's $5.10, a 20% increase.

I truly have to give it to Mobil1 though. That $24.87 price held for the past couple years. Guess it just got to be too much for them to absorb. Greed too? I'm sure there's some of that. But that's what I saw.

Aren't two thirds of American citizens living paycheck to paycheck. People have been spared really bad times since everybody still has a job. If that changes, look out below. A job loss recession will bring some much needed fear back into people's lives.

You can rack up quite a bit of debt and keep piling it on especially if you’re at least covering the monthly minimum payments. I have to figure a lot of people aren’t paying off in full but aren’t skipping either.

I also tend to believe there were quite a few people whom had a good run in the market and or crypo thus not being as far concerned with pricing.

Otherwise it doesn’t make to whole allota since ;)

Ours are the same with lower premiums actually. They acquired probably 500+ employees so the cost naturally went down…which I’m was still surprised to see.
Cost doesn’t naturally go down just because you add employees. It comes down to the risk (health status) of the 500 you are adding.

I suspect they went down because they moved from a fully insured plan to a self funded plan when they added the employees. They shifted the risk to themselves and the their stop loss carrier for the reduction in expense which then gets passed to the employees in lower contributions.

BOA provides a FICO score to me monthly, found this tidbit below the score:
.
Lack of recent installment loan information
FICO® Scores consider recent non-mortgage installment loans (such as auto or student loans) information on a person's credit report. Your score was impacted because your credit report shows no recent non-mortgage installment loans or insufficient recent information about your loans.
.
So carrying NO debt, drive my score.........................DOWN !!

I'm currently lucky enough to be on the opposite side of that statistic. My house will be paid off at the end of this month and besides my monthly utilities and associated living expenses I'm currently DEBT FREE for the first time in my adult life. It only took 60 years to do it. :ROFLMAO: Won't last long though... I'm currently hunting for a summer home/retirement property in Michigan. :)

No one wants to work because of government handouts. I mean, you really would have to try extraordinarily hard to starve to death in America. Then the poor get subsidized housing, free internet, free phone, free everything. They get every tangible thing that the working man gets, and gets it all paid for by the working man. Then the working man gets to compete with the governments limitless pockets paying some loser the equivalent $20-40 per hour in benefits, to try to get same looser **** off the couch to ring a cash register or serve some food. In this thread someone got offended by my attitude towards to people who make poor life decisions, but **** them all. They are ****ing the working man and they don't give a shit, and they give nothing back to society. Matter of fact they bring kids up with their same ****ed up attitudes, and we get to take care of generation after generation. Then those ass holes go vote for their free shit.
