BINGO!!!!!
Not too worried about the warranty as once it's over in 3 years or 36k miles, it's over.
But, yeah,...........a 2.7 in a truck like that?!?! LOL Hard pass.

I would have preferred at least a Coyote, since I'd rather not do turbo in an offroad rig, but overall I have beat the crap out of the 2.7 in my Fusion for 5 years with zero issues (with 93 tune).

It's the electronics that have been the problem and a lot of the interior trim that is crap. Drivers seatbelt already fraying on edge @ 58K miles (the orig belts in my 79 bronco are in better shape), chrome trim coming off on a couple switches, couple cracks in "piping", on edges of leather seat (and I've had thick towels covering the front seats since new).

Talking about quality. Almost every ram 1500 hemi I’ve come in contact with has cracked exhaust manifolds. And that’s been a problem since at least 2013 or so. They all have problems. Of course nothing man made is perfect. View attachment 1778202
That explains why my neighbors truck sounds like it's ticking when he starts it in the morning.

I haven't had any issues and I currently own 5 ford Vehicles. Can you give some examples of Shotting Craftsmanship from Ford? Serious question. not trolling.

14 Escape 2.0. Trans rebuilt @ 67K (didn't blow up, but was leaking and could not be fixed without pulling it totally apart). Also virtually entire rear hatch trim was not bolted down from factory. Both halfshaft front seals had to be replaced (under 70k ish miles).

14 Stang V6- Pulled to left (always). I bought my own alignment system (about that time) even and alignment was perfect. Suspect it was EPAS pull drift compensation, but back then in 14 I didn't know anything about that (and my dealer apparently didn't either).

15 AWD Fusion. Vibration at highway speeds. Dealer found tires bad, put on a whole set of new tires. neither dealer or I figured it could be a second set of bad tires, but years later, found out it was. Put on new tires and fixed it 90%. Rear bearing hub went @ 31K miles.

14 Stang GT-Traded 14 V-6 when they started practically giving away 14GT's (when 15's came out). Alum hood corrosion (same problem Ford had had since the 05 stang came out), never seen rain even and was only 2 years old. Squeaks in rear side interior trim (only 11K miles as of today even). I posted up previously about massive vibration from carrier joint bushing on stock DS shitting the bed (could it have been extar power from blower, maybe). Rear diff whining (again, could have been from blower, but my orig 8.8 in my 86 fox body took an absolute beating for 25 years, turbo, nitrous, man trans dumps on DR's/slicks, still fine).

17 Fusion Sport- Also vibration issue with stock shitty badyears. Knew what it was this time (after deal with 15 Fusion), 100% fixed with Mich PS4S's. steering wheel buttons just stop working here and there (and then fix themselves). Car shuts off every 6-8 months for no reason (no codes and it seems only at slow speeds on left turns), dealerS could not find anything. Starts right back up and then no issue for months. Shifter ring crapped the bed, was stuck in park.

17 Escape 2.0.-Entire rear end axle assembly @ 71K (no other issues so far).

Seems a little high…

Does it come with Jorts, New Balance and a set of College Drop outs with daddy issues?

Seeing $7,000 advertised discount off F150 hybrid in stock localish Ford dealership.

My hometown Ford dealer has had the same 2 EV Mustangs parked out front for a while, not shocking in winter, i guess. The electric utility has started work on the electrical upgrade for Fords EV program. Looks like they won't move dirt until spring though.

We expect to break ground at the end of May.

Ford drops prices on electric Mustang to follow Tesla's actions

Jan. 30, 2023 8:58 AM ETFord Motor Company (F)TSLABy: Clark Schultz, SA News Editor17 Comments

Ford December Sales Plunge 17 Percent From A Year Ago

Justin Sullivan/Getty Images News

Ford Motor (NYSE:F) lowered pricing on the electric Mustang Mach-E crossover by an average of $4.5K. The biggest price cut on a dollar basis of $5.9K was on the GT Extended Range version, while the Select RWD Standard Range version only saw a price reduction of $900. The price cuts follow shortly Tesla's (TSLA) reduction on the Model Y earlier in January.
The Detroit automaker expects to increase Mach-E production to 130K vehicles annually from 78K vehicles. However, the price cuts mean that not all Mach-E models will be profitable even at the larger scale.
"We are not going to cede ground to anyone. We are producing more EVs to reduce customer wait times, offering competitive pricing and working to create an ownership experience that is second to none," said Ford Chief Customer Officer Marin Gjaja.
In general, analysts have been very positive on the impact of Tesla's (TSLA) pricing cuts for the electric vehicle leader, while warning competitors could struggle to find profitability due to the macroeconomic backdrop. Earlier on Monday, Berenberg upgraded TSLA to a Buy rating and said the the price cuts fired off reflected the company's cost leadership strategy to nab market share.

Seeing EV's dropping left and right just LOLz for everyone that jumped on them last year+ with a big price markup all because gas went up only for both to drop down.

Just saw articles on insurances writing off low mileage Teslas that are too expensive to fix LOL

And then Tesla tells them come back in 3 months to pick your repaired car up, no loaner.

I wonder how much of that risk makes it’s way into my premium. EV owners should be part of their own risk pool- I should not be accountable for their decision.
That's a damn good question - the government will probably come up with a law to make this illegal... lest we allow EV's to compete.

Some quick Googling confirms that EVs are more costly to insure but no luck determining if ICE and EV are separated for determining individual premiums.

Pretty sure Tesla the manufacturer has an insurance company in house for their vehicles.

It was supposed to be drastically cheaper as there are so many fewer accidents.

Wasn't there a similar thread to this one but it was about the used car market? I can't seem to find it.

I'm still looking for a Mach 1, and man, sellers/dealers are on ****ing crack. I'm wondering what everyone is seeing in the used market, specifically on "specialty" vehicles like the M1. Nothing is selling (to my knowledge). M1's are sitting around and dealers are dropping prices slightly every few weeks but I feel like the asking prices and actual value are way off. The M1 isn't very rare and while it is a step up from the GT, it isn't a GT500. Just wondering what everyone is seeing in the used market and what your thoughts are on the M1.

Be patient and keep looking, especially Northern dealer.
