Did the annual oil change and changed the trans oil while I was under there.

Does anyone happen to know the service life of an RXT?

I bought my car in 2013 and AED had just installed one 2k miles prior.

I got about 14k miles and 9yrs out of it before the TOB got sandwiched against the face of the trans and was applying constant pressure and I’d get slip at high load conditions. I could’ve just clearanced things a little more but threw a 1200 in there at the time.

Discs and plates looked great.

That's good to know. When I bought my car it had about 1000 miles on it. I did end up having to pull the trans to install an adjustable pivot ball because it started to have the constant pressure like you mentioned. But it never slipped. I'm around 30k on it now.

The quick jacks look sweet, i've kicked around getting some as well. My buddy has some and while building his C5 he left it up in the air on them for a couple months at a time. Seem to work really well

I keep seeing ads on FB for those and it showed them for $39. Uhhh wtf. Same rating and look identical.

Those are quick jack brand?

These won’t be $39. They go for around $1800 on HD. They are nice, not sure if they are 2K nice but I will see when I do some wrenching on the car with them.

@hatchke Yea, there are 2 lock positions to lock them at. You can remove the hoses and it will just stay there. Will make working on the car easier for certain things for sure.

Picked up a set of 7k quick jacks from a friend. Should make working on the car easier. Top of the jack is 24” up and comes with 2” and 3” rubber blocks for more height for reference.

Looks like plenty of room for sure man. Love it. I don’t want to take away from the photos! However when I installed my stingers the pipes are so close together and don’t want to line up perfectly. Hey my magnaflows and my flowmasters lined up perfect. Wonder what I’m doing wrong.

Went to go order Toyo TQ DR 315/35 18 at Discount but back ordered.

Summit racing has 16 in stock so that’s the new plan.

Not sure what to do with this thing. Owned it 10yrs and I enjoy driving it but kinda lost the fire. Have a GenV Whipple in the spare room that’s been there a year and half now.

Come on man, get back in that garage, clean that car. Polish them CCW’s and throw that whipple on there and make boost baby. I’m jealous of the CCW’s, and the whipple. I have this saying, I tell my ladyfriend this often.
Often times the things I take for granted, someone else is praying for. You’ve Got a bad ass cobra, and go fast parts! Respark that fire man!

I put a board on a jack, jack up the pipes til the are level. Tighten all the clamps. Shouldn’t be that hard. 1 side can definitely go higher than the other. Hits the diff. I leave it 1/4”-1/2” so it doesn’t hit the diff and make noise over bumps etc.

Thanks brother. I’m gonna try that for sure. Probably dropping the transmission soon. Throw out bearing is making a little bit of noise.

Doooo it, the GenV are so badass. Dig back into it for sure, they're special cars.

Understand that feeling for sure, but might just be time to switch things up a bit, even if you're not pushing it to another extreme level. I've been so focused on the Cobra for so long that I've really neglected the M4. I really enjoy that car and lost a lot of desire to do much else to the thing.

Against my better judgement I bought a new set of rear wheels [for the M-car] and some 8888r's to have more of a party time wheel/tire setup. Gave me a new little project to tinker with and make work.
