no seriously..
it's so hard to keep perusing this site, which i love btw.. due to the fact i can't afford -- well i could, but i don't want to continue whoring myself out while in school for money.. it would be far easier to take the two, to two in a half more years to finish, to then find a job, get set up, and buy another cobra. actually, i'd like to buy two cobras.
i'm having a rediculously hard time trying to sell it, and i do know about the modded sports car market, it is the suCk.. however, my car does have some mishaps which you can see in the for sale thread, but all parts used are QUALITY stuff, aside my MAC exhaust, right? ;-)

as for school, i'm dual majoring in business management and marketing, with a minor in poly sci.. doesn't ask about the poly sci, i just did it on a whim.. i do enjoy politics though.
i just fear that when graduating i'll end up with some cubicle job, or managing people that work in cubicles, making as much money as i do now ($35 a year, which ain't shit, and i don't have a family of my own, just my cobra, living, and school).
but if i believe i'll be doomed entering the job market, i will be.. so chin up right? yea, i really would like to be an entrepreneur, but then i might not be able to afford my two cobras or even a single cobra, let alone pay myself (if i have employees). i'm sure with my current job experience, and other skills i attain, with my degree from MU business school (which is very good i might add) i should be able to start out making enough money to start saving to fulfill my current quest: to get two cobras, one as a daily driver, like i have now: a mineral grey with your basic CPIE goodness.. i'd also eventually after that like to acquire a good ol' sonic blue, that can have a full build from some shop (engine, trans, rear, suspension) and maybe slap some twin's on it.. why? just because i can, right? or hopefully..

so this isn't really a post asking for advice, although it maybe nice to hear from former cobra owners that didn't pick up another fast car after selling their babies off.. because i'm going into a 02 to 03 tahoe.. reason being i need something that can tow, and something that can hold wood instruments since i'm a drummer, in a controlled atmosphere..
otherwise i'd definitely get a truck -- i love the new f150's, and i definitely love the ram diesels.. but i'm also not looking to spend much, so you might ask why spend a lot on an 02 or 03 tahoe: well, because i'm not going to be spending a lot, due to my friend's dad being a GM of a local dealership.. i'll be paying their cost on a relative model year new tahoe, with significant miles (the cheaper the better), since i'm fairly good at wrenching and all my friends are wrenchers, i'm not worried about too many issues out of the cheby lq..

well i better do homework, and let someone else in the library use this computer for some school/ education relevant issue(s).

good bye, cruel world.. :kaboom:

i'll be back... be back in like five minutes :lol1:

I'm on my second Cobra. FYI I'm less interested in this one compared to the first one. Do I like my car? Yes. My point is cars come and go, don't get all wrapped up in the boards, owning a Cobra, ect. You look like you have some pretty high goals in life, so go for it! Bottom line is, its a car. They come and go. If you really want this one gone, sell it! I just looked at your for sale thread, if you can't get 21.5 I would part out the mods for stock stuff and trade it in. Also I really think that clutch problem is killing your ad.

I like my car.... but there is always something better and hotter out there... don't get me wrong, mine looks great and is fun to drive, but I am not stuck on Ford or the Cobra.... Although I have only driven Mustangs for the past 14 years. I'd like a viper some day, just think they look sweet.. Maybe get a Lambo some day.... so many cars to choose from... I saw the Noble cars at Auburn/Kruse auction... pretty sweet cars.. Could you imagine a Noble with a Cobra motor.... it would fly....

why is it such a big deal to have one. sometimes my cobra makes me want to have an automatic 4 door of some sort. it's beautiful and i love it but damn i can't bring more than one person along and the clutch sucks in traffic. dude you're stressing over nothing. not only are you stressing about having another one but you want 2. slow down speed racer. in a few years things will happen that wll change your outlook on things. ride it out, and see what happens.

i was being sarcastic.. anyone? facetiousness?
i just like the car is all..

as far as the clutch issue, i know it is, but i'm not investing mutiple hours and a couple hunderd bucks to replace it with another stocker unless the buyer pays for it.. the car shifts FINE, it is either a tob or more likely pilot bearing - i didn't replace it when i did the last clutch, but i have a new one. any how the new buyer is going to want to put an aftermarket clutch in it.. $21500 or 22000 isn't squat for a cobra with cpie and my milage IMO.

No ofense S.V.T. but NO one wants to buy a car for market value and have to wrench on it right away or deal with problems. Fix the car and if you really want it sold it will sell. I had to downsize my daily driver from a 2004 Grand Am GT to a 1988 Grand Prix SE. It is a good car but it was either keep the GAGT and not have the dental work I needed to have done. That is life, if you can't afford it sell it. I sold it and I took a bit of a hit on it but again thats life. Fix the terminator and pay it off if you don't want to take a hit. Grow up and get used to whoring yourself out because that is what the working world is indentured service. Also if you cannot afford the car why are spending money on mods? Sell your mods and pay down your note on the car. You have other options instead of death!

Can I have your car?

too soon?

College isn't so bad. Just because you're en entrepreneur doesn't mean you have to quit your day job. Use the cubicle job to save money to fund your new venture.

fix it? bah!
my car's at market value? yea right  my car is at market value for the condition it's in.. :sigh:

oh and when you say "fix it" do you mean put another clutch in it, like a reconditioned stock clutch from tousley ford from steve only.. or do you mean fix that, as well as the third brake light and the crappy alignment of the mac catback?
jesus and i thought 215-22000 was a deal.

they don't have to wrench on anything btw.. it drives 100%, shifts 100%... you just hear a little noise that sounds like tob, but it's perfect!
and who said i am spending my money on mods? who said i can't afford it?
i said i don't want to afford it any more.. i rather work less and work harder at school (i.e. more credit hours). it's not an issue of paying down the car more, it's the issue of wanting to get out of my payment, mainly.. so part my car and maybe get $1000 for my parts.. trade the car in and get like 17000 at the dealership when i owe $17000 versus fix the clutch $300, break light $100, and exhaust $80 and sell it for $23000 fixed, make $6000, deduct the $500, i'm then at $5,500 made (presuming it sells at $23000) or just buy it from me at $21500, get the aftermarket clutch you need anyways.. who cares about the break light or exhaust, and if you do $21500-$22000 is C-H-E-A-P. just my $0.02

I see where you coming from. Believe me I do, but one thing to consider. Not everyone out there has the mechanical knowledge to swap in a new clutch or the tools to fix this one. That means they have to pay someone! So they buy your car at 22k then end up spending an extra 1k on a new clutch and labor costs ect. Aligning the exhaust is cosmetic stuff IMO. I'm not sure what is going on with your break light but either way, after having to do the clutch I wouldn't want to spend more on that. So now they they are paying 22k for a car, another $500-$1500 on small stuff, plus sale tax and vehicle registration costs. They are easily knocking on the 23-24k dollar door on.
