going afs 10.5" reps..

so i'm going to sell my stock rear chromes.
to replace i'm getting the afs reps in 17x10.5.
now instead of just getting the two 17x10.5 (no tire package), i was thinking about getting the 10.5 set (in chrome) and taking a pair of those rims and putting a nice dry/ summer tire (305-315 probably) and then the other pair a drag radial (main for street) and i was thinking a 315 or 335.
mainly street use, would like to get slicks for the strip.
will be on cut springs (1 coil) and a little bit of suspension work eventually.

think i'll need anything else? what do you think about a 335 nitto on a 10.5? (i know they're a little less wide than bfgs).

The set that AFS sells are with two 10.5" wide wheels for the rear, and two 9" wide wheels for the front.

no they have a couple more options then that.
they have what you said, a 17x8 frt, and 10.5s all around too.

does anyone here swap d/rs and a regular high performance all season tire on and off the same rim between seasons?

They are quality wheels. Their cast and heavy though. I have 18" AFS wheels on my car and like them alot.

If you look at some of their wheels on Ebay it will say this:

QUALITY: All AFS wheels are DOT approved! The rims are structurally sound. We guarantee the rims to be straight, true and not out of round.

that's a good question. i just hope the chrome holds up on the afs reps.

does anyone on here swap out their rear tires for drag radials on the same set of rear rims? or should i just go ahead (when money isn't tight) and buy a pair of 10.5 inchers and put some d/rs on them?

Constantly swapping tires back and fourth on wheels can get expensive in a hurry when you consider a mount & balance is $15-20 per wheel. You already have a perfectly good set of 9 inch wheels, put some street radials on them and then some drag tires on the 10.5s. Also the nitto 555r is a very good all around tire for these cars.

I'm currently have two AFS 17X9 inches replicas rapped with ET drag radials. On my other two stock rims I have nittos mounted. I just switch back in forth depending on how much traction I need. However, I'm also looking to sell (two AFS 17X9 rims) or (two 17X9 stock rims mounted w/nittos) to buy some 10.5s. P.M. me if you are interested in splitting a purchase for four 10.5 rims, because I only need two 10.5s. I need more traction.

I have 105 AFS wheels, and the wheel and tire shop that did my tire installation and balancing said that the wheels were perfectly round, and of great construction. (I did not buy the wheels from them).

The AFS replica wheels I had were only slightly heavier than my stock wheels...
