I plan on winning the lottery soon so I put a hold on it....................awe just wishful thinking. Maybe in my next life, ya think? The rarest Mustang I owned was a 20th anny that I raced for awhile.

there is a '00 Cobra R on craigslist outside of Portland, OR

http://portland.craigslist.org/clk/car/524701604.html

Dont know anything about it and I am not connected in any way.

Thanks for the lead on this one. I spoke to the seller and he is expecting a deposit but we'll wait and see how that goes. I will buy the car if this other deal falls through. Sounds like a very nice car. He is firm at $55K which I think is a fair price in light of the market. If anyone knows of a very low mileage '00R please let me know. I would also be interested in a '93R with low miles but I doubt anyone would want to let theirs go.

Do you want to race or show the car? What is low mile to you? Scott

^^^My answer to "let's see where this 95R goes??".............Nowhere.^^^^

I could never understand why someone list something on a auction site and tries to control the bidding (ex- starting bid $32500- but it now $33000).

Set your reserve and let the bidding start!

scottmartin: your 95R, would you be willing to part with the original air inlet tract (throttle body forward) and/or the brackets on the radiator that the fan shroud attaches to? Been looking for them for a year now....

Looks like the 2000 R is not worth the $100k we thought a few short weeks ago, otherwise this one would have sold!

Is there a $60k price differential between a wrapper and a car with 2k miles? :dw: I don't think so!? :coolman:

If I remeber correctly it was $90.1K on that other as-new example. And no, I am sure this 2000R would not bring bids anywhere near that same money, but that is quite a large difference, $42K vs. $90K.

The other one hit $90k without hitting the reserve! :bs: What I'm saying is just another "One Man Show" trying to inflate the price of a car. Not like we've never seen it before?!? :rollseyes

If I did not know the seller of the new $90K+ wrapper, I would say yes you are correct, a "one man show" shilling their 2000R, but since I do know the owner and the type of person they are, I would have to say no. If anything I would call the $90K auction a fluke that was bid up by a couple of bidders who had to have "new", and nothing else would do.
