your intellegence sounds very far-fetched...a typical response from a lsx owner though.
you have no idea whats done to my car
If you look at the track times from both cars you will see the trap speeds are a few mph different and the GTO pulls harder up top.
Its already been said in this thread. With equal drivers the GTO will beat the Mach every time.
I could care less whats done to your car.

we both had a passenger each and they weight about the same.imho i think the ls2 gto and mach 1 stock for stock are very close even from a roll. im talking about the outcomes that i've had with these cars not assumptions. i guess im a better driver and thats the reason for me having those results.
still, 52% of the collection is above 108mph
I find it funny that a couple of the GTO owners thought their stock GTO was fast or faster than a stock Cobra (not you bluegoat). That same top 25 stock list for 03 Cobras would show 100% in the 12s and 100% above 108 traps.
if you go to ANY car forum dedicated to a specific car line (ls1gto.com, svtp.com, ls1tech.com, viperalley, etc.), that forum will elevate the status of their car just a bit. in other words, gto's will beat cobras on the gto site, whereas cobras will beat gto's on the cobra site. its just the way it is.
one of the only things i don't like about my gto, is the difficulty of getting a good launch. once you get rolling this car is fast, faster than a mach 1.

If you notice it appears the GTO's had better drivers by ripping off 1.7 and 1.8 60's while the best time for the mach driver pulled over a 2.0
I'd say that makes up for him running a 13.09 compared to a high 12...

Did it ever occur to you that the GTOs 60' better due to the setup being a little better or the increase in power it has over the mach 1?
Gee I guess you could just say that all drivers suck because if a stock GTO could nail off a 1.1 60' then it would run 11s.
The point is that maybe that's near the limit of a stock mach to get thru the 60' and not that it's every driver who has ever driven one?
I know you're a mach 1 owner, right? So this might be hard for you to accept but the LS2 GTO is a little faster than a mach 1.

Nothing is hard to accept, I'm a die hard dsm'er till the end, I simply drive my mach as a daily. Also, you're basing all Mach times off one list of drivers. Just because it's not listed on M1R does not mean its end all.
It was already stated that they run nearly identical times with the GTO edging out the Mach by trapping a bit higher in mph which means it would creep the Mach up top.
I'd say its a drivers race
JMHO as a goat owner. Mach1 vs. LS1 goat, driver's race (stock). Versus LS2, maybe driver's race from the dig.
Roll race should go to an LS2 hands down.
Machs are great cars, and can launch awesome. Don't think they'll hang up top though versus the LS2.

Guess what I raced tonight guys?
I was driving down the freeway when John Force totally pulls up alongside me in his super sweet Castrol Mustang (yeah...the funny car, dudes) and we went from like a roll and I prolly pulled him by like maybe one fender, dude. It was like totally awesome and I think he just can't drive b/c even tho my car should only trap in the upper 150s-160s, and he traps in the 300s? I don't think it mattered b/c anything can totally happen on the streets. It was wicked man. So I think my car can beat funny cars as long as I drive good and they don't. Sweet!
So my car is now as comparable to funny cars as mach 1s are to ls2 GTOs.
