Dyno/tune day @ Amazon tuning in SC...

So new customers will be charged 375 for a tune during this event? Even if a person does not want to have any revisions in the future, that said person will still have to pay for a one time program of $125.00, but would actually get on the lifetime revsion program plan?

If this is the case, Then I understand why you would say
"you have to buy a tune either way..why would you not want free life time revisions?"

On that note....I hate to cancel, but I really cant afford the overall cost of the trip.

Gas (There & Back) $ 160.00

Food (Wife & I / Breakfast & Lunch) $ 50.00

Tune/Program $ 375.00

Total Cost for a tune: $ 585.00 :bash:


I know that Rick is well known and is the best of the best. But financialy, getting a tune with a local tuner who is as reputable is more realistic for my wallet.:bored:

Well, here is my deal. I got a deal on a Diablosport Predator and pulled the trigger because I was getting antsy about installing my pulley. I want to get an SCT programmer once I get the funds and I know you guys do the deal with the tune/lifetime tunes if I buy the programmer from you.

I guess what I am boiling down to is, if you program me with the Predator and I pay the $125 fee for lifetime tuning, will I still be paying full price for the SCT programmer when I buy it from you guys?

we give the program free with the purchase of a tuner so you are getting a tuner/custom program with life time revisions/shipped to your location for $399

if you dont want the Preditor Id just put it in the Market and sell it..just make sure you unmarry it from the vehicle it tuned by putting the stock tune back in your vehicle

our tuning policy is that if you dont get the tuner from us then you will have to pay for a program..if you buy the tuner from us then you are getting the custom program for free..this is pretty much standard with all tuners..if you dont buy the hand held programmer from them they will charge for them to put one of their tunes in it..so no matter who you go to to be tuned (whether it is a reputable local tuner or not )is going to charge you for a program if you didnt buy the tuner from them. it will be worked in to the price somewhere

all the hours of datalogging and work on a tune is the property of a tuner..it is a viable product..we are willing to give that as part of the price of a tuner(some tuners charge you extra for a custom program even if you do buy the handheld programmer from them) but if you dont buy the tuner from us then you will have to pay for the tune.. I really cant lay it out there any more plainly than that..

Well, I already have the pulley on, so I cant return to the stock tune. I guess my best choice is to just buy an SCT programmer from you guys on dyno day and then list the Diablosport for sale... What do you have in stock?

we can send it out to you with the prelim program for your mods so you can drive it here or you can wait until you get here that day..we have the XCAL 2 around but we can make sure you have whatever you want.. if you want an XCAL3 just let me know they are the same price..we did have the price of a tuner at $379 for this tuning event too

So if i drove 3 1/2 hours down , got on the dyno only to find out i had a fuel problem and couldn't be tuned would i get any kinda of price break if i came back?

the tuning process is finding issues with the vehicle that are preventing it from being tuned properly...many times a vehicle will come here and it is not tuneable..when it gets on the loaded dyno drivibility issues will come to light..it is then up to the owner to fix the problems or make arrangements for us to fix them so that the vehicle is tunable..some owners leave the vehicle and we fix it and others take it and get the issues resolved and bring it back..the tuning process begins again at that point..

if you go to a job and you cant do your job for whatever reason that is not your fault and you have to come back do you expect to be paid for finishing the job at a lower price?

if your not a previous Amazon customer you will have to pay a 125 programming fee. So your total for tuning will be 375. I thought I was only going to have to pay 250 as well until this afternoon when Amazon clarified it. Thats not going to stop you though right?
