We just finished Siksvt33's Stoker buildup.

Specs:

GT block
DMP spce'd billet steel rods
DMP spec'd billet stroker crank
DMP spec'd custom pistons
DMP spec'd stage 3 ported 2v heads
DMP spec'd custom ground billet cams
Whipple 2.3

Stats:

Break-in tune = 13lbs. boost, 11.5-12* spark, 11.1 A/F - 544/625 @ just over 5000 rpm on our Mustang MD-1100. That would be converted to 625/719 in Dyno-jet numbers. Again this is a break-in tune with only 115 miles on the engine. Truck is full weight and has future plans for a complete DMP fuel system and suspension. This truck was running low 12's high 11's iirc on the Whip 2.3 and DMP tune before the stock block let go. Now he is panning on some low 10 second passes full weight with 22's up front after he gets it broke in and a more agressive tune/boost.

Here was before:

How many cubes are those short blocks pushing Stan? I was on the DMP site the other day but it was down.

Congrats on the new monster.

Hey Bob, long time no see ya on the boards. How you been? Must be busy to stay off these boards haha.

This is one of our original styled strokers, 351ci. This one is really mean. We compiled a lot of new parts and designs we have been researching and testing with various engines. Turned out great.

Before the end of the month we will have another 4v finished up that will make this sound like a kittens purr haha, no offense Oscar :poke: :D. FFS

was it running high 11's on the 22's up front? I am debating if it's totally worth it to me to have another set of tires laying around. I'm up to... 2 damn many

The cost of the 4v swap is pretty substantial, as you'd know, once you add in the different timing cover, cam/valve covers, lower intake, intercooler, thermostat housing ($700+), etc. if you are sticking with a supercharger. Then you battle where you are going to mount the alternator, will the steering gearbox be in the way, how will you connect the different size coolant lines/manifolds, wiring harness changes, different exhaust/headers, and lots of other small things that you have to overcome. We have done it before more than once, so we know there are options, but they are limited and usually big money. When you go turbo like yourself it is much easier to go 4v without having to deal with a lower intake already designed for a s/c (big $$). The cost can range anywhere from $2500-10000 above a 2 valve setup depending on which parts you use with a s/c. FFS

For a while he was running in the 12.2 range, and then I think he dropped into the 11.9s for a pass or thrice iirc. He may chime in when he gets a chance and let us know exactly. FFS

right. i agree, super rexpensive. thats usually peoples reasoning for staying 2V.

Hi all,

Just to confirm my pb on the stock block was a hot lap [email protected] with the 22s up front just as the pictures show. I ended up driving from L.A. to Famoso raceway that afternoon right after work and got their at about 5pm. That would explain why my truck was so dirty:-D The truck definitely had 11s in it with the 22s up front, if it had the killer chiller mod and some better gas I'm sure it would have pulled an 11.7 or so. But no need to look back now:-D

I'm so stoked to have a built monster from DMP. I cannot wait to get this badass engine broken-in and ready for a race tune with 18psi & 18degrees of timing to see what this badboy can really do. Having a four valve set-up would be nice, but to be honest I think the 2 valve setup is more than enough for me. The DMP truck ran mid 9's with the 2valve setup:bowdown:

I want to thank Dante for all the hard work he's put on this build! Proof to me DMP is the true Ford modular big bore and stroker specialist!!! Also, to Stan for answering all my questions and sending me pics of the build. The pictures really helped coping not having my L for a while there:-D Now hurry up and build your monster big bore Stan so we can line-up:poke:

DMP Rocks!!!!

Ahh I thought you hit 11s a couple times, well close but no cigar. Now you won't need to worry about 11's, hell you can pass the whole 11 second mark up and go straight to 10s haha.

Yeah Oscar remember we already have Cowmans in the 9s on only 18psi boost only with his big bore setup, but his truck is lighter. Mine will be the big bore setup and will be full weight like yours, I need to hurry up and get it done as well. And yes don't worry, we will line up :burnout:

Thanks for clearing up your ET's. FFS
