How soon can I get my passport when applying. I'm wanting to leave April 6th. Moms is sending me my birth certificate overnight tomorrow so that leaves me almost 10weeks. I will pay whatever to get it fast.

It takes a few weeks to get it in the mail so start the process asap and you should be fine for April.
What if I pay to get it faster? how soon?
I paid to get it faster and I got it in 9 days after I applied.

In process of getting mine for my trip to Morocco, Africa. It is currently 3 weeks but if you pay more you can have it in 5 days. This is as of Jan. 14th. I do believe it takes longer when getting your passport through the post office than it does when you go through the state department. But the state department has a little bit more strict rules and payment methods.

Don't pay to have the rush service. When I got mine I sent it in 10 weeks prior to my trip. I was quoted 8 weeks turn around time at that point. So I figured that I had a 2-week cushion. Wrong.
Due to the flood of passport applications it got bumped to 12 weeks. I called my state representative's office and explained my situation. Even gave them the names of my 2 friends who applied at the same time. From that initial call, I received my passport within 1 week. That is the way you go. Saves you money and that is what the office staff of your representative is for. Good luck.

Had mine within a week. Funny how post 911 it seemed to take 3 months.
Good thing the current times aren't busy.
You can get it same day if you want to and have all of your paperwork.
