blow thru means the maf is located after the blower instead of in front of the blower.. and instead of a recirculation bypass valve its vented to the atmosphere similar to a turbo BOV.. most of the time people are running FMIC with this setup so they tend to cost $500-$1,000 to setup to blow thru besides getting retuned as well ..
blow thru setups allow the car to idle smother and run smother and easier to tune as of what i here. also the sound cool to with the open bypass setup.

The air after the blower and intercooler is a more consist reading as of what is going into the motor compared to before the blower allowing for a more accurate reading..
im sure there more I'm missing but hopefully this helps search around more theres tons of info floating around here

so do you have to modify the BOV? or get a new one- I have also seen folks talk about blow through MAFs? so what is the maf in between exactly? thanks again.

the maf is between head unit and the intake.
you can put it where ever you want really.
most people put in in the fender if your running a intercooler.

what centri setup do you have?
chances are you are already set up as blow through.
most of the centri are set up that way from the factory.

Not true, most centri setups are draw-through from the factory. I can't think of any that are blow-through???:??:

Prochargers are set up for blow through. I bought my set up used and it was a draw through set up. I had major problems with MAF back wash. It made the drivability horrible. I switched over to a blow through and the different was night and day. The car drives 100 times better then the draw through. I never tried tuning the draw through, but I can tell you that the blow through is pretty easy to tune.

Maybe I am thinking of the Vortechs then? But anyway I am trying a blow-through on my Hellion turbo. I have yet to get into boost (awaiting dyno tune), but I have driven it some on the street in normal and bumper to bumper traffic and it seems to have stock like driving manner so far!!

I think Vortech and Paxton are draw through. I really don't know why I had such bad back wash problems. The car the system came off of didn't have near the issues I did. But after having no problems with the blow through that's what I'm sticking with. Eventually I'm going upgrade to the 05+ MAF sensor. I've heard those are a breeze to tune and are very stable.

yeah, just about all of them with a front mount intercooler are.
some of the vortechs have that ghay after cooler which leaves no room for a meter.
thats why i asked what set up he has
