I dont know-- i guess this car is a bit more to me than it is to you guys. And thats completely fine.. but to me, the cobras should be left alone. There are millions of GT's and LX's out there that one can hog out and go crazy with.

and although there were 5100 made, how many remain? How many got the stick out rim/lowrider treatment? How many got lamborghini doors? Yuk to both.. i love this car for what it is. Not what it could be.

I have had some pretty awesome cars along the way. And i will concur- this car is a POS in comparison- even as clean as it is.. but thats what the 93 cobra is.

Always thought that. Always will.

and there is a line-- the gator backs.. im not concerned with that. But once you start talking about an all orginal down to the mufflers car-- no matter what blems it has (within reason).. it just seems foolish. Especially, when he could flip the car- and fund any number of GT or LX cars, with all of the mods he could hope for.. Hell- even a cobra body kit..

Are you reffering to my car there?

No- i am referring to Cobras in general.

The 11k i spent on mine could have easily funded a much younger BMW completely- or a nice down payment on a nice M3 or Porsche.. BUT- i have always wanted the cobra- not for how fast it could be, not for what bolt ons could be bought... but for what it is.. the car i have wanted since i was younger. Its no Diablo 6.0... but i can cross it off the list. Unfotunately- in buying this, i have now open the can of worms of wanting one in each color. ;)

man dont be discouraged by the people telling you to flip it, just fix the car up over time and youll be right where you wanna be with it. the car looks great to me and for the price who can beg to differ.

Actually- infact, i was referring to MINE. (as clean as it is-- mine is very very clean @ 100k miles)

and ITS not a POS.. but the car in general-- the fox body mustang. Its a garbage can on wheels compared to todays cars.. or at least the ones i have been driving as of late.. But again, its not the quality- its not the performance.. etc.. that makes me want this car. There is a panache to the cobra/// its a classic in MY OPINION :)

and you dont mess with a classic.

Kind of like that imbecile kid rock not only throwing "werewolves of london" into one of his newer tunes-- WITH with Sweet home Alabama... two classic songs murded with poor taste ;) Blasphemy. Sure it could be done-- but is it right? Not to me.

I have to agree with you when it comes to modding these cars. But why try knocking some sense into this guy.Let him do it..our cars are only going to increase in value. As for stingers comments.. The guy doesn't sound like the smartest guy out there.:poke:He claims he has been looking for a Cobra that he could afford. So he goes out buys a shitbox cobra that he gets a Geat Deal on because of his Wife and then the Great Plan is to dump 8-10k to restore it? yeah that is what smart people do! With that money you could have accomplished all that with No Headaches.:bash:

What is your definition of Clean? The car you describe above is a car that has avg.7500/year.Also if you are going to quote me make sure is right.I said who pays $1500 then dumps 8-10 k on repairs.Believe that adds up to close give or take $11500. As to where you gonna find it?Try Ebay in the last 4 months or sold at least 3 93'BRA have sold for 11k or less with less mileage than the one you saw.If that is your standard of clean.Me myself clean means that the car is as close to factory stock as possible.Pm me have 2 93 Cobra might have what you r looking for?

I'm talking low mileage, stock)ish), and just good paint interior overall...that's my definition of clean.

what is a mile- anyway? Its a measurement of distance= not life. I have seen some 40k mile cars out there that have had some tough lives. Id rather have an ultra clean 100k mile car as a driver than a pretty clean 50k mile car that cost 4k more...

On an all roller motor.. heavy metal... 100k= just broken in :)

every mile that clicks over in my car means nothing at this point ;)

You are a dumbass.
Why am i not the smartest guy out there, cause i wanna spend money on my toy that I bought for $1,500 and not spend 12-15,000 and buy a cobra that has 30-40 thousand abused miles. Ohh why is my car a shitbox, cause i bought it AND NOT YOU.

Restore, your right. I'll go pay $300 for a macco job, then wait for the first jackass to come along and get 8 grand for it. Then i'll go and buy another lx build that up, abuse the crap out of it, throw another 6 grand price tag on that and rip somebody else off.

Big deal, you have a cobra that has low miles on it....whoopi freakin doo.
you will own it for a while and sell it, then cry cause you sold it. Or keep it for another 40-50 years and never enjoy the car.

I'll say you bought that car new..$20,000 cash. had it for 16 years $800 a year for Ins.
Will call that $13,000 to be safe. Then reg. every 2 years property taxes lets low ball that at $4,000. for the past 16 years. Now lets say you keep that car for another 20 years. lets call all the above less price of car $10,000. I see the total for $47,000.

20 years later now. you sell the car for lets say, $50,000 WOW, YOU just made 3,000 bucks for a car that you bearly drove....great investment.

who is the guy that aint to smart here.

I will Restore this car, MOD the hell out of it, Drive it in to the ground, keep it for 20 years, take out all the mods i put in and sell it for $1,500 bucks And I enjoyed the hell outta my car....hmmmmm But first, I'll take out the 1/4 windows and EXHAUST, carlite windshield..... in 20 years i can probly get $3-4,000 from a guy like you who needs to keep his car ORIGINAL.

Yea, And im not the smartest guy out there. YOUR FUNNY...

Watch who's car you are calling a shit box, cause it sounds like your a shit box.

Sorry mods, I just dont like people calling my property junk.

I dont recall exactly what he said- too busy to go back and look.

BUT- i think he said your idea was shit-- not the car. 1500.00 for the car and 8-10k on parts.. it also seems ass backward to me..

If i was going to buy it from you- i would put into it what it needs to be in good condition.. and drive it... not 8-10 grand..

I haven't been reading all the posts, but I'm assuming somwhere in there he thinks your wasting your time fixing the car up?

Bottom line is, you got a smoking deal, and I don't believe anyone is going to argue that point.

Me, I like working on these cars. Your car is a perfect project car to tinker on and do with what you will. I bought my car with 100k on the odometer becuase I knew that there was no way the factory HP would suffice and Id mod the hell out of it.

These cars are another 30 years away from being big money cars. Even then, there are a fair share of them that have been stored since new with under 2k on the odometer, so what does that make "drivers" like mine and the 95% of them out there worth?

So in the meantime, I'll be enjoying mine on weekend cruises and enjoying it.

ah yes.

Well-- at.. uhmm.. least he isnt sugar coating it???

Na-- i mean the car is what it is.. like i have said over and over again- you would get a lot more bang for your buck with another car-- NOW- i am saying that for 3 reasons.. first off- because you can find a clean clean roller, or clean LX or GT for 3-4k with that many miles on it.. save your self some time and effort on the CLEAN UP= and go strait to your build..

number 2-- id hate to see another cobra get some guys good ideas put into it..

and Number 3-- because i want to buy it from you ;)
