3 Boys Arrested for California 'Kick a Ginger Day' Attacks - Local News | News Articles | National News | US News - FOXNews.com

CALABASAS, Calif. — Three boys have been arrested for investigation of bullying red-haired students after a Facebook message promoted "Kick a Ginger Day" at a Southern California school.

Los Angeles County sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore said Monday that two 12-year-olds were arrested for suspicion of misdemeanor battery, and a 13-year-old was booked for misdemeanor cyberbullying. They were released to their parents.

A total of eight boys are suspected in the Nov. 20 attacks on seven students at A.E. Wright Middle School in Calabasas.

Authorities believe the shoves and kicks were prompted by a message referring to a "South Park" episode satirizing racial prejudice.

Nobody was seriously hurt.

A message left for the school superintendent was not immediately returned

Calabasas is an upper middle class area. I'm surprised they didn't keep this under the covers, to keep a squeaky clean image of the area.

BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

lol.

and im seriously questioning what kind of "battery" this really was.

as mentioned, calabasses is a wealthy area. im willing to bet the kid's parents (or someone) demanded that some kind of action be taken. im sure the sheriff's deputies were rolling their eyes at this nonsense. should have just been taken care of within the school if it really was an issue. :nonono:

hell i remember seeing kids beat the hell out of each other and just get suspended, if that! kids these days :nonono:

Arrested for "cyberbullying"?! Only in California.

I had a "ginger" girlfriend for a while and she was the hottest thing in bed.
She was like a powder keg with her bright red hair on fire.

And, no. Ginger women don't pee on you during sex. I guess that's a misconception people have about red head women.

Beating each other up, pushing kids down, never really was a big deal. Comes with the territory. The problem that we're facing now, even with cyber-bullying, is the resulting spike in suicides and ultra-violence (open firing guns at school).

I hear what you're saying, but having friends that are teachers and admin in schools, hearing the stories, you would be a little shocked to hear what happens every day at any high school in the US. Yeah, kids *have* been committing suicides over being bullied online (it's a federal offense to threaten a life), and we all know about the others who snap and go in guns-a-blazin'.

However, girls that grow up to be hot ginger women are very much GREAT in my book!
