I really wish there was more info on the 8-rib install you did cause some other Cobra guys are talking about power steering pulley pulley's and I'm like WTF are you talking about cause I just bought this thing, lol. Beggars can't be choosers but with my slow brain and low tolerance for problems I'm not sure how this will turn out. Dave said to buy a pulley puller tool but I'm still like WTF. Any tips???

You do need a pulley puller for the power steering pump (AutoZone or Advance has 'em). I used a strap wrench to hold my crank pulley in order to get the bolt loose. An impact gun is needed for the alternator pulley. Everything else can be removed/installed using normal tools (IIRC).

bro your car is beastly but i would step the gears up to a 3:90 or maybe even a 4:10 gear!

I agree, no more than a 3:90 IMO.

:lol1: Talk about bad luck!

I'll be doing Mac LT's / Prochamber when the time comes to step up to the big leagues.

ttt for the newer members.

Exhaust is changing due to the 4.10 install (Stingers/Bassani are LOUD). Going to Mac LT's, Mac Prochamber, Magnaflow catback. No new vids either ...I have failed you all. :bash:

That should sound really good. I'd do an O/R X though. I love the way the prochambers sound but if your car is as low as mine that chamber is gonna scrape on all kinds of things.

Read the whole build. Ever get the belt squeal fixed? I have heard from more than one person that an 8 rib swap is more than a stock tensioner can really handle. Is there a truck one or something else that will work? I sell the billet ones from rrrr, they work really well on a 2V set up or a 4V with the three bolts to mount it. I was impressed with them, and sent them a 2V tensioner so they could make those too.
Very cool, sounds great, watched all the vids and enjoyed following along.

Thanks, and no I still have the squeal after a good WOT run. :bored: ThumpRRR has released a single bolt tensioner for the 4V's and I have debated on the purchase. I'm just not sure if it will fit behind the blower bracket; nor am I sure thats the problem. The sound goes away after 50+ miles of normal driving; like an overheated bearing or something? I really have no idea.

New exhaust setup sounds great. Installing a line lock this week, so I'll get the usual exhaust vids (inside/outside/flybys) and a good burnout  ...they are only brand new BFGs. Look for a new thread next weekend.

Sweet! Was the line lock install hard? What brand did you get and how much do those cost?

I got the SLP kit (~$160). Jason sent me a writeup that is a little different than what SLP recommends. Some people have problems with the driver side line getting too hot and messing up the solenoid (from LT's), so this writeup fixes that. It shouldn't be too hard; keeping air out of the lines will probably be the hardest part.

btw how do you like the gears?

LOVE them. This thing is a monster now.

Honestly, its going on so I can do a nice burnout leaving my wedding next month ...so rest assured, I won't be slacking off with this.

Tough question! [just sat here for five mins thinking about it] I think its a 50/50 choice. My goals are different than most and I wouldn't mind having either or (F1A or a single turbo). Twins have just too much piping.

Well, we went to the thumperrrrrr tensioner to cure a squealing problem like that one you describe. Worth a shot, they make different pullies from what I recall as well. It was also bending the tensioner from the belt pressure. The customer was really happy with the tensioner and when the customer's happy, so am I!
I'm getting married in May, not going to be doing many burnouts, just leaving the ceremony and walking to an elevator, lol. Open bar, and staying at the hotel where we are having all our event. lol.
Congrats! And waiting for those vids too.
