IMO it seemed like a great product for those who snapped a diff cover, as its cheaper than buying a replacement cover from ford and then an irs brace from someone else, when you can do both in one perfect replacement part.

is there just no demand for it?

In late 2008, Fore Precision came out with the SRA Differential Cover followed with the IRS in mid 2009.
Sadly due to the rising prices of aluminum, Fore Precision will discontinue both the SRA and IRS Differential Covers after this one last run is made.

Damn, that's a work of art... Why not make it still available at higher cost for the customers? Cant imagine these not being able to sale with the amount money SVT owner spend on their vehicles.....:shrug:

It is a nice piece, but it is $4-500 for a brace. That is about as much and you are going to get out of someone for a rear end brace. If you are that serious about racing then you will take the money and put it in a 9" rear and housing. If it is just a street car you buy a $150 rear end cover and drop the extra money in other performance mods. I bet their reason for discontinuing has something to do with this.

Your way off. It's not just a stronger cover. It has pre-load bolts, it has an already installed seal that doesn't require the use of silicone which should help stop leaks. It has the holes already tapped for both temp sensors and coolant lines. I don't see the stock cover providing any of that.

I don't know about you, but I'd much rather purchase a stronger cover that's designed to have all these holes and taps in it rather then me doing all that to a stock cover and "hoping" I don't **** it up and have to buy another one.

Your reading and comprehension is way off. I did not say anything about a stock cover. I said $150 rear end cover. I highly doubt that peice of tin ford uses for a dif cover cost $150. That would include all covers made by about 15 different manufactures. All of which have the pre-load bolts and holes for the drain plug. All are thick enought to be tapped for what ever other sensors or cooling you could ever want to run. I have never had an aftermarket dif cover leak.

Stacy, I've got a question for you.

How much would you charge me to machine one of your IRS diff covers for me if I supplied you with a Titanium block to start with? I have access to rejected pieces of Titanium that I can pick up as scrap for a song(figuratively speaking).
I know that it would take a LOT longer to machine. Several decades ago I helped machine up the first set of all titanium brake caliper and carbon rotors for Junior Johnson's race shop. Using a standard manual mill it took three of us two weeks to do just two of them. The pistons were machined hollow and were filled with sodium, then welded up and finish machined. They worked great but generated so much heat that they lit the front of the car on fire when it stopped back in the pits. They were also deemed way to costly for use by NASCAR.

What if you made it a cast piece instead of a billet piece, would it be cheaper? But im sure the billet is alot stonger. Why not offer them with and without the cooler lines, and preload bolts? That thing is just too pretty to go UNDER the car.

if aluminum is getting expensive, make them out of another cheaper metal, like steel.. since you already have the CNC machines making them, you would just have to buy new bitts to mill the steel and could still make them, but even stronger than aluminum..

no, its a replacement cover+brace in one part. perfect for someone who has already cracked their cover and want to add a brace to ensure it doesnt happen again. id imagine a ford replacement cover is $400 and a IRS brace from billetflow is around what, $150? when you can do the same thing with one part that looks ****ing gorgeous to boot.

wow... i sure hope fords isnt that much
my rear diff cover on my 10.5" rear end, is a ford part and isnt even 80 to replace it

Fore is always stepping up when they produce a new product and going cast would not be a step up, like you said less strength. Strength was our main goal in producing the pieces.

It takes 55 lbs of aluminum to produce the IRS differential cover and with the material cost going up, this is the reasoning.

To be honest, Fore is going to concentrate on fuel system components this year. I hope you understand. :rockon:
