You're from Peoria, aren't you? Are you the gentleman that used to work for Ford and wrote tunes for them that I've heard about?

Everything looks great, btw!

If you heard good things, I am... If not, I do not know who you are talking about! Hopefully, the former. ;-)

I was a calibration development engineer who studied the code algorithms and controls that ran the vehicles and calibrated all the parameters to meet the driveability requirements. I was on Team Mustang for the 2001 - 2005 Mustangs.

There are some interesting pictures of my work - like my development trips around North America on my site: Brian's Sonic Mach1 I do need to do a massive update to it though.

If you decide to keep the powered by Ford covers on, I would carry over the redfire p/c/ onto those, then remove it from the high areas. Those areas would look super if they were polished too... just an idea for you...

Finally got one on! Here is the driver's side cover installed today. I cleaned the rubber o-rings around the cam cover bolts. I also polished the bolt heads.

With some luck, I will have the passenger one on tomorrow.

I am also going to powder coat the cross over tube while I am at it.

Well I finally got the other cam cover on, polished the new bolts, put the brake booster back on and installed the hood struts.

I removed the water cross over tube to have it powder coated too.

The KB inlet plenum should be back from the powder shop this week as well.

We are getting there...

I am not sure what the recommended sealant spec is on the coolant sensor threads. If anyone knows, let me know. Thanks!

I can't wait for them to all get put on either! There is probably another 4-6 weeks before the weather would even be nice enough to drive it again anyway.

FYI - I did find the specs for the ECT sensor threads (for the bypass tube):

Pipe Sealant with Teflon: WSK-M2G350-A2
Spec: D8AZ-19554-A

I am pumped and am getting close! Here is the new-look KB with the satin black powdercoated intake plenum, EGR block-off and throttle bracket. We also powdercoated the plenum flange lip silver to match the front silver band on the blower. 5 total coats of powder.

I hope you like it!

I will be putting it on soon. The last part I am waiting for is the redfire powdercoated water crossover tube which should be done by Monday.
