Well finally started on my Vette motor a couple of weeks ago, adding a cam, forged pistons, LG motorsports longtube headers and X pipe exhaust with no cats, 32lb injectors, MSD coil packs, MSD super conducter 8.5mm wires, NGK Iridium spark plugs, Comp cams high performance timing chain, on the machine work not sure if we will bore it yet or not but I will still get her dipped and whatever else the machinest recommends.

gonna be sweet man,,,be sure to post up some vids

Most def when I get her broke in and get the tune done as well, they say the tune will also add another 25 hp and with everything I already had put in my motor and what I'm doing now I should be over 500hp.

Nice project, don't sell your factory coil packs because when the MSD's take a shit on you (and they will) you'll need back ups.

^^^ i think he means more along the lines of the factory coils well more than handle the power you will be making and those are expensive and i dont beleive have been proven to make more power....and they do have a bad reputation of crapping out.

No I haven't, I know 4 people that bought those for their lsx cars and all 4 people went through at least 3 sets before going back to the stockers. They work fine in the Mustangs but for some reason the lsx ones are only good to see if they float. Keep us updated though, I definitely want to see some numbers!

Over 500? Is this at the crank or wheels? If wheels I would assume atleast a 383 or something, 500 is alot to hope for or did I miss something. NOT BEING A DICK!! Just saying.

I dont have a lift.. But I plan on taking the engine and transmission out of the car. I need to do some work on it.. And figured this would be the easiest way. I am putting a new clutch in as well.. And if I can find a good deal on a 9 inch, that will go in too.

I fugured once I get everything out, It will be 100X easier than actually crawling over an engine bay and not having much room to work with.

I've seen several cam swaps on local vettes from the shop I used to work at. Its been awhile since I've seen one, but just take your time and do everything right the first time around.
