Sorry for the slow reply.

I had the bypass kit, but sold it last fall. I had bitten off too much already with the job and thought if I were to install it, I would do it during my clutch replacement. That and I did not want any potential leakage issues.

It runs pretty good (at 17psi currently) although I am progressively working my way up the RPM and boost testing as I check things out and recalibrate it. I do like the sound of the 2.2 KB (this is the first I have heard one in person).

Here are a couple pictures from today after its first wash of the season. You have to like 81F+ in central IL.

The only bad luck I had was the day after I got it running I was left dead in parking lot - broken fuel rail pressure sensor (cracked and pumped fuel out into the manifold). That set me back a couple days. I ran it clean, changed the plugs, did an oil change and all is well now.

Thanks everyone - I could not have done it without this site and its members!

I plan on starting a thread in the Teminator Engine section or How-To section with more pictures and details on what I did and what I found during the install process.

Looks great! I've enjoyed following your progress- thanks for sharing. BTW- I see that you went with a shrouded RAI. KB says to never do this as it will harm the blower. Instead, use some sort of a fenderwell CAI. --I'd like to hear some comments from KB owners on this, as I am about to bolt on a 2.6H on my '04 Cobra.

Feel free to send PMs if you don't want to clutter this thread with KB air intake comments. I have a strong feeling sonicmach1 likes things neat and orderly... :D

Thanks. Yes I read about the KB mandate for the cold air kits. As badly as the Steeda looks (i.e. to not seal), my aircharge inlet temps are actually pretty good. I was running 88F inlet on an 80F day at one point I looked at it. I do want to make a better shield for it or get another kit. I have heard issues with the JLT fender kit robbing some power with the extra inlet bends and smaller filter size. Maybe a JLT RAI version? - I need to shop around.

Ha! I do like things neat and orderly (my partial OCD!). Now I just need to learn how to take better pics so they look more like reality when I pop the hood. I have yet to be able to do it.
