Which Lower Rear Bumper Panel is on your 2011 GT?

Your talking about the gt 500/California special rear bumper clip. That's the optional one you can ad on the build your own site.
Base GT, louvered bumper.

I talked to the selling dealer (in NC) on Monday. They told me to contact my local dealer (I live in VA).
I talked to my dealer here on Tuesday. They said it isn't a warranty claim. They said it is referred to as a 'mis-built car' and had to be handled by the dealer that originally got the car from Ford.
I called the selling dealer in NC back and after a few conversations we found out that the receiving dealer has 48 hours from the time that they get the car in to report it to Ford as being 'mis-built'.
They got the car on 6/23/10 and I bought the car on 8/7/10 so it had obvisously been longer than 48 hours. The dealer in NC told me to go to the dealer in VA and get a price for what the lower rear fascia would cost and the cost to have it installled and to fax it to them.
I went yesterday after work and the dealer here in VA gave me the price at cost, which was $133.30. The labor was $44.00. With tax it came out to $183.xx. I faxed that to the selling dealer in NC.
The salesman that sold me the car has to get approval from his General Manager to send the dealer in VA a check for the part and the install, since the dealer in NC will have to 'eat' this cost.
The salesman told me he should get approval in the morning and I can get the new lower rear fascia ordered. I hope everything works out, it looks pretty decent at this time.

Someone at the factory must have picked up the lower rear panel out of the V6 stack and put it on my car by accident. :shrug:
I have my fingers crossed that the selling dealer will agree to pay for the correct panel to be installed on my car!

if they dont pay it, you should order a gt500 lower valance, im ordering mine here pretty soon:rockon:
Yes, I have thought about doing the same thing!
or ask them to put that money towards a GT500 rear and you just pay the differance

It was REALLY a tough decision to sell my CO Cobra vert, but I'm actually driving this car! I love it so far!!
The 2010 also has a trunk lock in the wing and the 11 doesnt

I got confirmation this afternoon that the selling dealer in NC is going to pay to have the correct lower rear bumper panel put on my car! :banana:
