Wow that's a significant reduction in mileage! I'm really on the fence about doing this upgrade, I will have almost $3K in the parts/labor/tune to do this.
Appreciate all the feedback guys! Now you all have me thinking about staying with my 2.3 Whip and going E85. Supposedly we are getting more stations in my area to carry it. Although, no one has answered my question about gas mileage on E85 compared to 93?
I'm taking notes guys, thanks for the responses! I talked to a local Cobra owner who told me the "Sheetz" gas stations in my area are going to all be adding E85 soon so now you guys have me reconsidering going to E85! What does this do to your milage, I've heard you use twice as much fuel as...
I can but it's not common. I talked to my tuner and he didn't recommend when I told him i wanted to run both E85 and 93. So I'm thinking if I can run the bigger blower w/my current fuel system then it would be a relatively inexpensive mod per dollar (after selling my 2.3).
I'm kicking around the idea of upgrading from my current Whipple 2.3 to the new Gen 3 Whipple 2.9? What would I need in supporting mods, to make this work? See signature below for current set up. What kind of HP/TQ numbers are possible on the new 2.9?
thanks for feedback
I like the sound of a chambered muff, running Flow Super 44s with Pypes O/R H, like the sound except for mid range acceleration. I thinking about trying the MAC muffs to see if I like better? Is there anyplace besides MAC that sells just the FlowPath Muffs?
Lol, I totally disagree with the guy that said Flows "don't have proper sound on a Terminator"! Flows have a signature classic muscle car sound, no matter what V8 vehicle they are on! I love the sound of a "chambered" muffler, Flowmaster being my favorite.
As far as diff between the 40s and...
I am also interested in Magna Pack mufflers but have heard some guys say they are too short for direct fit and others say its a direct fit without welding or using extensions? I want a direct fit muffler that I can use band clamps to install.
I had a Mac PC with my Flowmaster Super 40s, loved the sound but the pro chamber hung too low, after I lowered my car I went with Pypes O/R H-pipe w/Flowmaster Super 44s and I got the clearance I need and the mid pipe is all stainless and appears well made but I don't like the sound during mid...
Comp04svt - awesome looking set up! I am looking to change my mid pipe but I'm out of the loop who is ARH? Link? I currently have the Pypes O/R H-Pipe with FlowMaster Super 44s and I'm not liking the sound. Had a Mac PC and loved the sound but need more ground clearance so I got the Pypes...
I currently have and Off Road Mac ProChamber, I really like this pipe but I want to lower my car and the PC scrapes the lip of my garage when pulling in. My driveway inclines up and then is obviously level in the garage, so the exhaust just barely scraps when pulling in now and I'm still at the...
