1982 Volkswagen Scirocco | Retro Review

They look like an elongated Vw Rabbit to me. Grandma and I used to make trips from Idaho to Ocean Shores in an 84' diesel Rabbit. Loud, slow, and shitty heat. Had to use blankets in the car. Still remember the Vw diesel konk, konk, konk, konk!

What cars first stirred your passion?

Nice! I heard an interview with Bob Bondurant, he actually drove one of the Cobra Daytona to work at Bondurant school in California. He said it was loud and hot! Still had the spare tire in the back! Had to have turn signals and working lights for the GT class of cars of the time. Driving a...

Our last Anatolian was 14, and was in the same predicament. Everything else worked, front, eyes, and ears. just the rear just wouldn't support the weight sometimes. It's Heartbreaking, I wish you well with everything.

What cars first stirred your passion?

All started with the car graveyard in the backyard. We had 4 Fairlane 55'-57' 56' F100, 67' Fairlane great grandma's And 56' Studebaker pickup I used to crawl around in them and see all the gutted out insides, the neighbors kids would shoot out the side windows with BB guns. Then the...

    RIP Tesla cybertruck

Still have my Calvin and Hobbes books. In middle school enlarged spaceman spiff into a 2'x4' poster. Turned out killer! Wish I would have kept it.

"connected cars" automatically reporting to insurance companies

I've said it before, I'll say it again. Soon you'll be paying for simplicity. They have set the trap, using safety and convenience as the snare. My newest car is an 08'. No connection to anything, daily is a 98'. The only thing I worry about is the tracking they could do through licence plates...
