Damn, that sucks. Maybe someone can buy it and save it. The only problem is who’s going to pay $45K plus dealer fees, etc. for a car that they have to save….and also fix the Carfax issues (if it can be fixed). The other bad thing is a Mystichrome coupe in good condition is hard to come by...
And they will sell. I remember, a few months ago, he bought a 2013 GB with black stripes, glass roof and 2000 or so miles for $65K from Long Island, NY. He sold it before it even hit his dealership for $76K.
Check out these two:
The nice ones will always be expensive.
How long has he had this Terminator?
What is his experience with Terminators?
I'm betting he doesn't know too much about these cars and just got it because it was the cool car to have or he's just riding the Terminator wave.
When I got my Mystichrome, the prior owner kept telling me the car had...
If you're still stuck, I tried something out just this morning. I maxed out all the max parameters and minimized all the min parameters in the OBDII Section of the tune and drove the car about 5 mins and all the monitors were set to pass.
Oh man....you're in a different situation than me. All I had was the JLT intake and the Ford throttle body and mufflers. All I did was put the stock tune and intake back on and did the 5th gear thing and that set the monitors for me.
He does have the highest level of access but he has to be careful. Adjusting the emissions parameters is the sure fire way to have the EPA at your door, fining you and closing down your business. To be honest, there really shouldn't be a reason to mess with them.
What you're saying is understandable. It just pisses me off to read stuff like this, especially since I went through it and it cost me a lot of time and I was ready to sell the car. I'm emissions ready and just reading this thread again pisses me off and makes me want to sell the car!
The drive cycles worked for me and someone else on this forum:
https://www.svtperformance.com/threads/catalyst-monitor-will-not-set.1197719/ (they also work for the millions of other cars that have to pass emissions).
I'm not saying that Pete is not an expert but I'm betting that Pete isn't...
