Hoping someone in this thread might know the answer to this.
Will a bottom foam cushion from ’15+ GT/Bullet/FRPP Recaro seat be a direct replacement for a ‘12 GT500 OEM Recaro seat foam cushion? Obviously the frame, sensors, airbags and skin covers are all different. I’m just talking about the...
Yeah I wish I did as well. Was toying with the idea buying a new DS but with the pinion bearing comments I’m not sure now. I figured the movement of that CV joint was a smoking gun and most would say that’s the issue.
Damn, I thought maybe I had found the issue.
If that’s the case then this really opens up a can of worms. Factory 3.73 had the “normal” whine most complain about and it wasn’t bad by my standards. The rear had 40k miles on it so I figured why not rebuild it with new bearings and 3.55’s so my...
To anyone who has been running one of these drive shafts for a while and taken it out and inspected the rear end CV joint. Does your rear CV joint have play like this? Mine has about a 1/16" of play back and forth and I think it might be bad/going bad.
I'm chasing down a gear whine type noise in my drivetrain that happens between 40-60 mph but it only happens when the drivetrain barely has a load applied to it.
Whine will come in for a split second when letting off the throttle to shift from 4th to 5th right when the drivetrain goes from...
@Robert M agree with your comment.
This has always made me wonder if a 3X capacity tank is worth anything when your running a restrictor/bypass setup. As the main flow is bypassing the larger tank capacity and in a restrictor/bypass setup the tank just serves as a degas bottle as you have...

Keep the bore wall as thick as possible. If you can get away with maybe a 0.005" re-hone/overbore I would do that and get pistons to match. 0.030" is typically considered the max you can safely overbore a traditional iron block.

Not saying your wrong, just trying to learn.
Why does the front suspension needs to be loaded when the engine and trans are fixed to the chassis? Shops that have two post lifts that lift from chassis points, how would they load the suspension? I've seen them put a pole jack under the k-member...
