You can see in those photos they had to do quite a but of work on the intake manifold to make it fit and even then I don't think I ever saw that car run.
I also no longer have my white car, it was sold to Stephen Floyd and then parted out when he finished his green car. I'm back on a 4.6 with C-heads and a Sullivan.
The intake ports on a FGT/GT500 are massive compared to a C head and in a different location/shape. You'd need something custom to correct that geometry. It's hard to do because you need A LOT of material in the runner to be able to move the port that much and keep the runner.
I would not...
They have slightly different coolant ports on the front of the head. The gasket has a cut out for both. They also don't have the inconel exhaust valves.
Ultimately you'll find you have zero options in terms of intakes besides custom and using a PD blower almost impossible without heavy custom...
Literally, everyone who posted anything BESIDES jokes about WAP said exactly what you said. I corrected someone about Nemak vs WAP which has nothing to do with the main topic which you quoted and then repeated what had already been said as if you were stating something ground breaking.
This article spawned an entire new wave of "b-heads are the best" trolls. As mentioned above a 3k hp engine and a street engine are wildly different and the conversations from this article don't apply to almost anyone's car on here.
Mihovetz is the best in the business but this article has...
The block from a design stand point is the worst designed.
The Teksid has been proven at 3k hp levels and the nemak nearly as much. So why bother going with anything else? There are some WAP failures above 1k especially rounding issues.
Wrong WAP. They prefer the WAP that is also the "aluminator" or also known as the nemak. The Mach/Cobra WAP is considered a good block but the worst alum block.
I can't believe LM wants $400 bucks for adjustable cam gears. That's robbery. It's sad that cloyes stopped making them. Filing the keyway is the only way I'd go now.
It all depends on how much work is needed on the correction and which level of ceramic you want to go with. We would of course offer a discount to the local SVT guys!
I would expect a correction and coating to take at least two days but we are open on the weekends. You can PM me and I can shoot...
