My current plan is to transform my gen 1 f150 to the following parts, gen 1 Mustang GT pistons, gen 2 rods either gen 1 Mustang cams or some boss cams with a matching intake manifold or 18 manifold .this swap is goin into a gen 1 control pack in a 67 mustang

Yea , A budget rebuild from a gen 1 f150 core to gain easy hp to utilize gen 2 cams an timing kit.

I don’t think I need gen 2 head gaskets to run gen 2 cams on a build.

Is it possible to run Gen 2 camshafts on a Gen 1 cylinder heads an have it properly function ?
